Recognition

Hi, Time for a new post to prevent scrollitis. I am happy the blog has come back to life. I encourage readers who have not commented before to join in. The more the merrier.

Quite a few people have asked what I mean when I refer to ...Recognition...For people that are 45 and over. Followers of this endeavor from day one have heard this before so for the benefit of new readers, here goes. I really get upset that the media and advertisers direct most of their TV shows, movies, etc. towards the under 45 crowd. I feel this marginalizes our age group. And there are more than 100 million of us over 45 in the U. S. And we control 77% of the wealth. Thus I am fighting for the media and advertisers to recognize us and have more shows, and movies, and articles that pertain more to our needs than the "coveted" ( I HATE how they use that word) under 45 year olds. In other words....Recognition.

I hope you all are having a fun weekend. I'm chillin' and recovering here with old friends in Hilton Head Island. And in a few short days I am (gulp) 65!!! As the old saying goes, it's better than the alternative.

Hi All, I decided some R&R was in order for RR, and I flew from the West coast to the East coast Friday for my annual visit with good friends here.

My my, I see some new names on the blog and some interesting controversy. I believe healthy differences of opinion are good. Let's continue to keep the comments in good spirit and faith versus anything inaccurate or mean spirited. Thanks.
