Hey all,
I have never been FIRST on the blog! Yeah! It's almost like I'm exposing myself or something.
I hate to be leaving for a week but will be gone to a tour of the National Parks which I have always wanted to see. So I will not be around from Oct. 9-16. I will check in if I can find cyber cafes anywhere.
I will miss you all like crazy but......."I shall return."
Thanks for the photos, Jackie, and I have emailed some to both Joe and Click Girl.
I'll be around......for awhile and can't wait to find out who the lucky 12 are!
Hugs,

Sh'nah Tovah! or Happy Jewish New Year to you all!

I've been busy the last few days so I haven't written. Tonight's the first evening I've had at home for a few days. I'm still trying to catch up on all the blog postings here and elsewhere.

Brenda, what amazing photos and commentary on your experience in Chicago! You wook mahvelous Dahling!!! My stepmom lives in Florida and I get down there once a year. Perhaps on my next visit I can drive up to Tampa and meet you. You've been such a sweetheart to everyone, it's a good thing you made the trip to Chicago so everyone could meet you!

Lady Base Camp, omg!!! Your post on Richard shoving the stuff off his desk and deciding to go with Umberto....I loved it!!! Who knows maybe Richard is feeling that way about now...lol. I still need to catch up on your blog site.

To everyone who has posted Chicago photos, I am just overwhelmed with all the excitement shown on the photos! Loved the Conga line! What a fantastic time everyone had, and I am so happy for you all. I know my MB time is something I will cherish in my memories. The MB and Chicago events were life changing to say the least, and I feel blessed as you all do for this opportunity that Richard has given us to get together.

Richard, the Jews call the next 10 days "The Days of Awe" leading up to Yom Kippur. I'm sure you are feeling awestruck with all the lovely women you have met. I have to agree with whomever sent the sentiment about celebrating the choices you will make with everyone who has been involved. Those of us who truly care for you want what is best for you, whether it includes us or not. I for one am grateful that I had the opportunity to meet you, get some photos with you, sing for you, and hug you. This Journey is a unique one in that all of us have benefitted whether we get to travel with you or not. Richard, know that my thoughts and prayers are with you as you make your decision. Truly this path you have embarked on will continue to change your life.
Thanks for having the 'cahones' to take all of us women on....:)

Much love to you all,
Lois

Willemina-Thanks for the comments about Richard II. We all had a great time in Chicago and wished you had been there. The sketch about "the blow up" Richard II was fun to put together. I hear there is a video out there so maybe it can get on the Blog

joeinmb
Here are the names of the lovely ladies responsible for Richard II. Karen from KY wrote the lyrics (will post these later), Sharon from KY and Peggy from MA reveiled Richard II from the suitcase, Angie from TX (formally from LA) with Jane and Jini from IL were the back up singers and myself Patty from IL is the owner of Richard II and had the main idea for the sketch. We all helped in putting it together. I was asked if I got the 'doll'(Richard is really a doll in person)from Chicago. I used Richard II in my video that I sent to Richard and just decided to bring him along to Chicago.
It was a hoot driving on the tollway and watching everyone take double takes at him in the back seat.
The wonderful thing again that I keep hearing over and over happened in our situation too-- none of us knew each other until Thursday or Friday and we have become the closest of friends! Thanks Richard for this opportunity and all that you have done , Joe.

This was my first time on the Blog! Yeah! I'm off for now.

This one is for the Ladies.

In previous postings, I have already “made my case” to Richard.

And, I have thanked Richard, Joe, and Umberto for EVERYTHING! (Well, that bears repeating, so—guys, thank you, thank you, thank you!)

Now…to the Ladies of the blog---what a terrific group of women! Love, Friendship, Caring, Sharing, Compassion, Understanding, Laughter, More Laughter---a wonderful range of warm emotions have been the ongoing thread throughout this incredible journey.

The only regret I have about this totally fun adventure is that I was unable to play together with you in person either at MB or Chi Town.

I leave town tomorrow and will be away from computer access while I am gone for 10 days. By the time I learn who will accompany Richard on the next phase of his quest, the news will not be hot off the presses.

So, in advance, my heart felt congratulations to the 12 women who will join Richard on retreat.

I wish it could be ALL OF US, but since that is not possible, I hope it will be SOME OF US!!!

GREETINGS ALL YOU INCREDIBLE WOMEN
!!
I've had a few e-mails asking me how I compared the MB and CHI meetings. These are only MY thoughts. They both were great fun and the ladies were all dynamic. A good time was had by all! In my opinion, MB was a more personal and intimate hotel compared to CHI and the main focus there I feel was on the trip. Chi had a different atmosphere because of the enormous size of the hotel with many other groups doing their thing. The meetings were set up similar to MB with 5 women asking questions in Richard's parlor. But I feel in the end, on Sunday, that we all realized that we all may not be picked for the trip so we focused on ways of getting the word out- that we have needs, we have wisdom, and that marketing is missing out on a great opportunity. There are over 140 million people in the USA alone, over 40 years old. So on Sunday, around 80 ladies sat in Richard's room brainstorming ideas to get the word out. After the Richard's trip around the world, we need to start Senior Bachelor-Senior Bachelorette, to help EVERYONE find romance and adventure, but also there are many different needs that could be met for us. One example - A senior TV channel. Anyway, we need to get the word out about us and our needs via local newspapers, finding sponsors, magazines, ect. ect. So "ladies of the blog" we need to united and make it our mission to get the word out about ALL of us and Richard is willing to help with his marketing skills.

Put in a great effort!! Michelle

Dear Ladies and Richard!
One of our fellow bloggettes in CHI had askes me about some of the questions we had asked in MB. One lady in my group asked about what Richard meant about all expenses paid. His reply (and Richard please write if this is any different-via the blog and via the newsletter) was "That all expense paid meant "Transportation, hotel and food only" - No souvenirs, no household bills, no salaries.

I feel fortunate enough that this works well with me, the blogger that had asked me the question did not feel that she could miss a month of salary and still have bills.

So Richard, only because some ladies asked me and this might keep some women from being highly disappointed could you please write your definition "All expenses Paid" and please correct me if I'm incorrect on what I wrote above?
Sincerely and dearly! Michelle-(I hope I'm still your favorite flying massage therapist after this sensitive question)

Richard ya just gotta meet me...lol :)

OKAY, okay, I know there are a lot of ladies out there with the same question... so I won't put any pressure on you.. :) :) did you pull my video out and look at it again?? kidding!! lol :)

This is going to be a very busy day for me so I thought I would just pop in quickly to say hello to everyone and let you all know that California is nothing like Montana for sure! but I think I have made a positive move and am looking forward to the changes ahead of me, As I look out the window there are mountains here, and I know I can climb them, even if I have to climb them alone, hint hint Richard....

It is not too long of a drive to get to the Ocean so I figure I will do that on the weekend and explore a little bit and learn more about the area.

So I will sign off for now, and check back to read the blog later.

here is hoping you all have a wonderful day.

Hollywood(AKA Rachel), it worked!! Thank you for the leg-work and pic.

If you will allow me to share my motto born from the Chicago gathering.

There's a song by (I think Garth Brooks)that talks about a woman encouraging a man to be his best and he follows her lead. Then, one day he looks in the mirror and he comments "I look in the mirror and I see the man I always wanted to be" and he says "You'll never be lonely again" (Dreams can come true)

Not a single person will ever be lonely now that we have the SB camaraderie. No matter where we are in this life there are special friends just a phone call or better yet a blog away.

Don't be lonely,stay in touch!!

Howdy Y'all ROEMANCIN' ROEMEO...JOE....UMBERTO ..POSSE and BLOGGERS;)

RICHARD: I hope you don't mind my saying this: When I checked the Hebrew Calendar the 29th October is Bereshit/Genesis/'In The Beginning'(how appropriate that you start the week's getaway on that date) Then the 5th November when you return is the Portion Of The Week Noah, also very powerful,Positive energy. I have the Kabbalistic Caledar which gives us the most Positive and Negative days throughout the year and it works according to the Universal Flow Of Energy through each day. Making decisions such as Travel..Business....Personal/Love etc. is important and by having this Calendar we are able to choose the most POSITIVE days and avoid the 'pitfalls', therefore 'going with the flow' instead of against it! Powerful stuff!

I have learned so much from all of you and I hope and pray we can continue to do that. This would be a great place to bounce life's bumps and happeness that happens to all of us.

I agree that RR, Joe, and cutie, have really started something here. I too hope with RR help we can make the world aware that we have not layed down and died at 50ish, 60ish, etc.

I know that RR has an awful decision to make or so he may think. We all support what you have done, what you are doing, and what you are about to do. Agree with we all will celebrate your decision.

What great fun I have had reading the blogs-please can I come play with you guys? I will bring my friend I had not seen in 28 years until MB.

Jenny, forgot to tell you I laughed at your story. I have five children and they all are great skiers. Yes, Mom put them on the slopes early, well now they love to ski with me, so they can go flying by, slide into me so that snow is all over my face as I stand there looking like frosty the snow man they are off and I can hear them laugh.
I ski mostly on my behin and they just think that is great fun, more of a chance to make Mom look like a snow ball when they blast by me. I think they maybe trying to get back at me for something-do you think LOL

Marty , yea you're on. I thought you were on already tho. Do we have 2 Marty's???? I know we have 3 Mary's. Actually...there was 2 of us from Ok. there and Richard said he had several from Ok. that sent in bios. Lovingly, Mary B.

Hello Ladies - good to see all the new pictures from the Chicago group. Jenny - loved your ski story, I can relate when I first started skiing as an adult (Hey I'm from Fla, what do you expect?)

Rachel -your picture is so cute with the pink cowbot/crazy hat. Love the hat!

Great to catch up on the blog after traveling. Everytime I look, there are new pictures!! YEAH!

Merymary - it was so wonderful to meet you - what a sweetheart you are. The Oprah show sounds like a sad one. She is so great to make people aware.

Michelle, it was so great to get to know you too. You are a hoot. I think those questions are good ones to Richard about expenses because I am not sure if there is anything other than "room amd board" either. I think that if I were presented with the opportunity to travel for a month, although bills and work are important for me also, I would choose Richard and the travel...We have been in this for 6 months now, and the train is moving and I hope I am onboard. I look forward to the next adventure as well as everyone and

Hey - I like the idea of a Senior Dating Servive...hmmm perhaps I could help there! I happen to have some experience in that area. : )

There is an undercurrent of energy thrumming through the Universe. Like the wind or a whisper, we can sometimes hear it and often feel it. Most of the time, we sense this energy unconsciously without any tangible proof it is really there. Thoughts, emotions, and the life force in all living things are forms of this kind of energy. So are creativity, growth, & change.
The impressions, images, & vague premonitions we get about people & situations are other examples of formless energy. When you enter a space & feel an "intangible tension" in the air that gives you a sense of foreboding in your gut, what you are likely experiencing is energy.

Energy cannot be destroyed, but it can be transformed or transferred from one person, thing, or source to another. Though energy is formless, it does take form and shape in the way it flows & resides within all things: a grain of sand, a bird, a stone, & an ocean wave. Living things radiate complex vibrations while nonliving things' vibrations are simpler.
Energy is a magnifier that can attract like energies while repelling disparate ones. Many of our reactions to people & circumstances are based on unconscious reactions to their energies. We may even intuitively tune into the energy of a situation we are facing when making a decision about how to proceed. With careful practice we can learn to sense the energy within other living things & ourselves.
We can also become more attuned to how we are impacted by different kinds of energy. Being around too many energies can leave one person feeling edgy or excited, while another person will feel tired & drained.

While some people feel that energy can be controlled, others see it is as the unknowable force that moves through all things. Practitioners of Aikido believe that all living beings share a common energy source that is our life force. .The combined energy in all things plays a hand in birth, death, growth, movement, & stillness...

Val Gal It's nice to be missed..thanks for asking about me :)

OK..I am having a really bad electronics day Trust me that is worse than a bad hair day!
My Blackberry fell into the bathtub, then my DSL line crashed. The Blackberry is not salvageable..I do not recommend leaving such a device on "vibrate" near open water...it did a dance, and then a splash! Boo hoo.

Aloha Richard, Joe and Posse!

SKYWATCHER-'ELLA':
Love reading your Posts, always uplifting...POSITIVE and encouraging! Thank you for contributing towards making the Blog not only a 'meeting of the minds' but a Spiritual Oasis from whence I like to drink of the cool refreshing waters! In casting the bread/sins into the flowing river yesterday I felt a deep shift within towards a fulfilling year ahead. As someone once told me how important it is to surround oneself with those of like kind and mind. Birds Of A Feather Flock Together, why waddle with the ducks when one can fly with the Eagles! Fly like an Eagle Eagle Eagle....Into The Future;)
Misery loves company and goodness knows we have enough of it in our world!

MERRYMARY: The 'new girl on the blog' I don't think more than one Wife for our 'Leading Man' will work. It will be challenging enough getting to know one lady and vice versa. It takes a Lifetime to get to know one's Soulmate and that is exciting in itself;)

Hugs and Kisses

Hey!!!!!Virginia Duchess, "Goldie" (as Flowergirl called you ) and I think that was Marilyn, another new Bloggette I forgot her handle)earlier today.

You are Blogging!!! Watch out!! you will get Hooked!!!!!!

Flowergirl, you little "Sugarbritches", You are terrific, for helping them out!!!!

While sharing "Southern Belle" jokes with Jennette from Miss.(what a Jewel of a person), my "best bud roomate" and I realized that we had both carried the same nickname before, "Sugarbritches",

Ok, you Northern B------,

Yesss, It is a compliment!!!!

And just to show you gals that we did take lesson's from ya'll and your brazen mannerism, we have now learned to insult someone, with out ending the sentence with "sweetheart"!!!!

Folks, I realize that I got lots of undeserved credit, here and I have not had time to defend myself.

The pictures that you saw on my Blog were almost entirely because of Flowergirls techie-ness, not mine.

Although both of us turned on our "Southern Charm" in the Business Center, I will take credit for that!!!

The lyrics to the "Traveling is a Girls Wildest Dream" (we will call it this time) were almost exclusively Clickgirls talent.

I got the beginning with:

"A trip round the World, that's what we dream of"
And Richard is now our new Best Friend"
and Maybe the:

"Square shaped or Pear shaped, these rears will lose their shape".

I have not been able to hear the Audio, I could see everyone talking about it but missed the little Audio button at first, but it won't play for me, probably a "blonde thing".

But, I am not real sure what we did sing, since we were still deciding how it would go when we hit the stage.

Anyway, the fussinest is probably the way we really sounded, since like the Blow-up Richard group, we threw this thing together 30 minutes before we broke up the party with our antics.

Spontamonious!!!!!That Cross between Spontanious and Pandemonium was certainly apropos.

Marilyn came into the picture, because of me recording my video in the MM room at my '60's style motel.

We have the parade outfits for local parades and impersonations of all sorts, there is an Elvis outfit too, who wave's in the parades every year.

Once when I had to play Elvis, I was singing "Blue Christmas" and responding to the children's strange looks with a deep vioce: "Yes I Am The Real Elvis"

Like we said, all about fun!!!!

You know I really did pick a great Marilyn, despite her initial response on-line, that she was not
endowed with Double-D's, I think we pulled it off pretty well with those falsies.

Oooopps, Paula!!!I'm sorry!!!

I just wanted Richard to know he hadn't really shown any favortism, and that he could stop feeling so guilty since "They" weren't Real, anyway!!!!!Heeeeeee!!!!

I finally saw your pics Clickgirl, they are
Mar va las, Daling!!!!(how do you do that?????)

Talk about "Substance", I knew I wanted to meet you so badly, I know why someone thought you were paid staff, you certainly had your purpose!!!! Thank you for just being, Who You Are!!!!

So ironic to me that, in the shot where you wanted us to do the peace sign, for Peace on the Blog, you looked to me like a real flowerchild, I mean I see Janis Joplin.

Ever since you did that my heart has been singing:

"Let there be Peace on Earth" and "Let it begin with Me"

"Let there be Love on Earth, the way it's Supposed to be"

I don't know, you guys, this thing has just done something to me!!!
.....and Richard it's Contagious!!

Some of my collegues wanted me to go to lunch over at the hospital cafeteria today and "tell them all about it" and some hospital auxillary ladies were overhearing and wanted to know more.

I thought we don't have a "Red Hat Society" around in these "Here Hills", so I offered to come to their meeting and tell them about our Adventure, I bet they will both be on-line tonight.

Seniors going wild!!!!

Seniors getting Impowered!!!!

I love it!!!!! I think it is the Best High that I have had, since the "60's.

"El-Natural-el" (to add to our Dictionary).

Oh, Shut up "Chattie-Cathy"!!!!!!

LOL

Hi, to everyone of my favorite "Bloggettes"! Those of us "old" bloggettes (oooo, don't like "old, can't say "original",
cause there were only 118 of those; can't say MBers, cause many of us were not there; what can we call those of us Bloggettes who came on last summer?
...hopefully someone can think of a better term for the bloggettes of that strain)

Anyway, to my Bloggette friends... yes, we are still hanging around, aren't we?
Lois and I thoroughly enjoyed all the Chicago festivities, and now the countdown to RR's big announcement next week has us titillated. (tee!hee!)

I am so anxious to see how all this plays out. What a FUN adventure. Richard, I echo the sentiment that you shared from one of your admirers in your newletter...I am looking forward to "celebrating with" not only those whom you DO pick, but with all of us who have grown, prospered and gained friends because of your "search".
...AND I will be following your search all the way to...well, don't know to where, or to what...but for as long as you allow us to!!...O.K.?
Molto e LOL...ciao...sharon

Hi all: just to let you know dreamweaver18 that we “old” (or should I say) “pioneer” bloggettes are still around and have been vicariously enjoying all the fun antics in Chicago. I’m keeping busy with work and waiting for the big announcement. I will have to celebrate my birthday tomorrow by attending a teachers’ convention (but I’m planning on sneaking out early – don’t tell). The weather report is for rain, too! But once the convention is over on Friday, we have our Thanksgiving to look forward to and it’s supposed to be a nice, sunny weekend.

Linda: tut, tut, now – don’t go bein’ coy ;) (just kidding – I know you know)

Brenda aka Click Girl: I love your travelogue – you have a way with words that makes us/me feel like we’re right there with you. Thanks so much!

Paula: would love to meet you – you have guts, girl!

Willy: just sayin’ HI to ya. Love the pictures of your house and granddaughters.

Suzanne aka desertflowers aka desertfox: what’s up?

Sharon aka Coach Did you and Lois go to Chicago or are you referring to enjoying the festivities via the bloggettes? (like moi)

Cheryl aka CB Where have you disappeared to?

HI to Connie, Nancy, Mary R, Lois aka Opera Wench, Mary Olive, ladybasecamp, Michelle aka nutty mermaid, Debby Eddy, AND to the "new" girls on the blog - hope we can ALL meet up some time soon.
