Odyssey Photo Deal for the Senior Bachelor Group- Look, the first one!
Special Senior Bachelor deal for embarkation photos at the Odyssey, Friday, September 30th!
Most of you know that when you embark on cruise ships someone is there taking your photo which you can buy later. The Odyssey does the same thing with a company called Sharpshooters. However, their photo packages for Friday evening cruises usually cost $20. We've talked with them and they have agreed to offer embarkation photos for the Senior Bachelor group at a special rate of $10!!
We'll have Richard there to be in the photo with you and your friends (if you want!) In order to do this we have to be assembled at the Odyssey together just before 7:00PM on Friday, September 30th.
We'll have the information on the Agenda but Friday evening will look like this. The meetings end at the hotel around 5:45 PM. Then we all get to the Navy Pier as close to 6:15 PM as possible. (It's a 10 minute cab ride at around $8 but four can share for that price- or it's a 25 minute walk.) They have a live webcam at the entrance (check it out- click here) and I want us to assemble and wave to our online friends (I only hope their internet servers can handle it)! Then we'll go into the Navy Pier and play for a little while. On the way to the Odyssey, there is a staircase right across from the "Salty Dog" boat. This is a great spot for a group shot! Then we'll finish our stroll to the embarkation point of the Odyssey for our individual embarkation photos and off we go!!
Richard flew to Chicago yesterday just to check this out. How do you like the test photo with Pam!?

Man, what I wouldn't give to get him in an outfit like that for the Cruise!!
More FUN stuff later.

Thanks!

I was sitting in a cafeteria this morning next to a "silvery grey haired foxy lady"(not a blond) who was engrossed in her newspaper. One of the headlines blared "12 Brazilian Soldiers Killed". She shook her head at the sad news ...Then turning to me she asked, How many is a Brazillia??? Laughter is the best medicine...Love to all you chickadees and RR and Joe etc.MM
Hi Joe,
Am a little confused (no great surprise for me!) about the small group meetings. Are we to be assigned a time, or do we get to choose a slot?
Also, re: taxi cabs. Our drivers are really struggling because of the recent hike in gasoline prices. The city (which controls what they charge) has given no rate increases as yet, forcing them to work horribly long days to cover their costs and take a little home. So hopefully, we can be a little more generous with tips.
Carol
WOW you are sooo HANDSOME. I love it and yes you should ware it for the pictures.

I have an English minor, and I promise I can spell most times -really!
Good Morning All -
Make it a beautiful day!
My Thoughts are with the hurricane evacuees now more displaced everywhere.
Please, ask away about the Event! We are handling so much information and posting it in so many different places we aren't always sure what we have discussed.
Ladies who have submitted materials will be assigned a meeting time. Ladies who have not submitted materials but would like to try to get a time for a small group meeting (if available) will be put on a waiting list and will have to check back for an estimated time.
Everyone is welcome to the general meetings Richard will conduct in the main meeting room three times a day at the hotel at approximately 9:30 AM, 11:30 AM and 4:00 PM both Friday and Saturday. You may attend any or all of the general meetings. (You may sign up for only one small group meeting.)
To recap, you will have the opportunity for a small group meeting. You can attend any or all of a total of six group meetings throughout Friday and Saturday. If you arrive early you can go to dinner with Richard on Thursday, September 29th at "La Cantina" and then back to the hotel for a FUN surprise from about 9:00PM to 10:30PM. On Friday you can go to the Navy Pier and the Odyssey Dinner Cruise from approximately 6:15PM to 11:00PM. On Saturday you can go to dinner (TBD) and then back to the hotel for the "Crazy Hat" Party and other FUN activites from about 9:00PM until they throw us out. Oh, and Richard will mingle with you during breakfast at the hotel from 7:00 AM to 9:00 PM on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
We realize you may want to schedule other things to do while in Chicago (if you have the energy!) So Richard and I will try to finalize the Agenda asap and post it for you so you can make plans. The only unknown will be your meeting time for the small group meeting. By the way, here is a great online resource for Chicago happenings recommended by the concierge at the Palmer House http://metromix.chicagotribune.com/
I have to go back to bed and get some rest :)

Richard - it looks like they might have cloned you matey! Taking orders?
Oh dear here comes that whine again.....
"I WANNA GO TO CHICAGO". I doubt the cruise I'll be on will have much to look at. I am looking forward to a day on Catalina though.
I'll look forward to seeing some fun pictures.
Love, Michelle
Good Morning to All...........
Richard, when I took the Oddessy (houseboat) out on the Delta last month. One night I dressed very close to the way you look in the photo.
Black jacket, gold trim, stripes around the cuff. However, I wore a white skirt. But I did make the statement (in fashion anyway) that I was the official Captain of the excursion. And that was after I lost the prop and the rudder!!! Nice photo of you BTW.
Well, headed of to Molokini this am and the turtle bay (?). Anyway two stops. Should be fun, and should get plenty of good underwater shots. Our time here is getting shorter as we depart Tuesday.
Willmina.....you're welcome for sharing the story/ies of my sister. I must say that she has much more energy than I!!!!
Went to dinner with dear Neva at Spatz at the Hyatt. Then she took the time to show us "Front Street" in Maui. Which just jumps with excitment, food, you name it. Neva is one very, very kind person. So Patient while we dress shopped and some. Thnx Neva Dear.
Hope that everyone has a most wonderful day.
Huggers,
Deb Eddy
Pam my dear..You Look Marvelous!
Great picture of you! Stunning!

yes... computer technology can put us anywhere in the world. It's geat fun to see you in Captains attire Richard.
3:D) Ahoy, I'll be your Mateee anyday, ARRG
To Anon Photographer: We are trying to enjoy life here. Why don't you join us?

With all these new events poopping
up, how about a complete schedule for every day in Chicago? Ahead of time, to help decide with what all to pack.
With so many ladies going from the Hotel to the next event at the same times, maybe a bus could be hired...much easier than finding 30/40 taxies to hire. Walking would mean carrying extra shoes, and of course warm clothing and rain gear.
Nice body in the captain's suit that RR's head has been superimposed on.
Is Pam a "chosen" one?
Ellen
Paula,
Thanks for the nice words. You are such a positive, upbeat person. Just my kind of lady!
Always...
Pam in Missouri
Ellen-Coerage,
You will not be wasting your money going to Chicago. I went to Manhattan Beach and met some of the most incredible women on the planet!(and we still keep in touch even after the event)
If anyone of us, has a chance in our lifetime, to meet our soulmate, and get to travel the world with them, YAHOO!!
We know there is only one Richard Roe for THIS adventure (The media: People Mag and Oprah is how I discovered him) and there are MANY of us.I say don't be afraid to go out on a limb-that's where the fruit is! Hey, maybe the media will bring your soulmate to you.
Have fun in Chicago, enjoy some great ladies energy and remember everyone should have a plan "B" in their life, just in case.
I read a saying-" No one is guaranteed happiness-it's up to us to fill it with joy and meaning."
Have fun and look me up in Chicago, I'll be there on Saturday-having fun!! :) Michelle
Hey Joe or Richard!
Do you know if they will have computers for us to download fun stuff at the hotel? I promised Linda I would cybersend her some fun from "CHI"
Michelle
Linnnddaaa!
Where do you prefer I send the fun? :) Michelle
Hi PAM, re: your comment at 10:25 this day...well done...you are a true diplomat and a LADY...loved the pic...
have fun dancin' and romancin'
cheers,
pj in Vancouver, British Columbia
("i AM Canadian!!! - lol)
To all the ladies of the blog,
I am not a chosen one yet, but would love to be. I think we will all have to wait until Richard makes his final decision before we will know who the "chosen ones" are. It is really getting exciting!
Always...
Pam in Missouri
To Dragonflyfilly,
Thanks to you for your kind comments. I look forward to dancin' and romancin' the rest of my life. Are you going to be able to join us in Chicago?
Always...
Pam in Missouri
Pam,
that is about the cutest thing I've seen on here. You are a hoot.
Looking forward to meeting you.
Yada yada yada
i'm a week ahead of myself and everyone else, i thought the Chicago thing was happening now...what a ninny i am! anyhoo, just got off the phone with my sissy, and my plans for today have fallen through, so checked in here again {***} and PAM, no unfortunately time and logistics do not allow me to come to Chicago this month...i only discovered Sen.Bac. in early September, and since then, the proberbial "you know what" has hit the fan; unpected stuff coming up all over the place...so...
***and i must be psychic 'cause while i was fixing my coffee i was thinking of Anon.@4:30; and then i came back to my computer and saw the most recent comment. i have tried to ignore his/her negativity i said i was not going to get sucked in and allow Anon.@4:30 to engage me, sorry guys BUT...i just feel compelled to reach out and see what is happing for him/her...(it's what i do...like i said before, you can modify your behaviour but you can't change your intrinsic nature -lol)
this is for you ANON.@4:40; OK. WE GET IT!! you do not approve of what is going on here...but you know, some of us are having fun. I think you are loosing your perspective, and as i was making my coffee i was thinking: "in the larger scheme of things, this Chicago thing is really small potatoes", anon, don't sweat the small stuff...in the wake of Katrina, and now with Rita and Philipe, thousands of people are dying and displaced...and i'm curious about YOU..what is going on in your life that is so horrible that you have to spread your misery around? you sound very angry and disenchanted...and my heart goes out to to, i'm wondering if you would like to send me your e-mail address and you and i could chat?...you MAY have good reason for the way you feel, i have NO idea about the background, and what you are referring to half the time, as i am a newcomer to the blog, but please, you need to stop, not only because you are irritating me, but because of the nature of Karma; perhaps you don't understand how karma works, but you are only creating more misery for yourself...that's how it works, you know: "as yee sow, so shall ye reap"...so let's chat ...and see if we can create something positive out of this encounter.
cheers for now,
pj
To "anonymous at 11:23" - just wondering why you are still here???
Richard Keep on smiling :) I still prefer the beach attire with wind-blown hair. Try and get some rest and relaxation this weekend. Clear blue skies here and warm, but just not quite the same as your corner of the world. :D
TO ANONYMOUS!
GET A LIFE!!
OBVIOUSLY,YOU DON'T HAVE ONE TO BE SO NIT-PICKY ABOUT SMALL STUFF!
Michelle
P.S.We can pop our own bubble if we want to, please just go away, we prefer positive attitudes around here!! Have some common courtesy and just go away!!
Enough already.
Glad to know the grammarians are on patrol. Tickets will be written!
Willemina: Enjoy King Tut! I LOVED the exhibit in San Francisco 30 years ago. I absolutely LOVE museums! The new Getty in Brentwood is marvelous, however I am ever so waiting for the re-opening of the Malibu Getty which is a recreation of a 2000 year old Roman Villa. It was (last time I saw the collection in 1997) full of Roman antiquities (grammarians!) Anyone else have the joy of enjoying the 'Villa dei Papyri'?
Willemina: Also what great pictures you have of your chickadees! What treasures!
Ladies...the frenzy is just beginning. Let us remember to be graceful ladies and not Harpies (hounds of Zeus). Poor tidings may come through email or US mail. Let us remember our good manners and remain friends.
Hugs on this autumn Saturday!
Dragonflyfilly-PJ
You hit the nail on the head! Anonymous @4:30 definately has something going on inside that must be hurting (Maybe she's an old flame of Richard's-just kidding but who knows)
I do believe in Karma and positive attitudes! So anonymous you can contact me also if you need some help! Michelle
thanks for your sence of humour HONESTGAL, ...tickets indeed, reminds me of when my daughter started french immersion years ago, we went to a Carnival, and there were the Language Police, any child caught talking English was given a ticket,...a bit heavy handed, me thinks, but my daughter is now fluent in French! is anyone else having trouble with there computers...i keep loosing the link...i wonder if we have a mad hacker at work here...
keep those jokes coming in...like the Sesame street Count who luvvvvs to count, i luvvvv to Laugh...but can never remember the joke, only the punchline, which can be very frustrating for people when i try to re-tell a joke...
...-NUTTY MERMAID; love your title, i have a bag that is use for summer, it is one that i got at SuperStore for $10.00, it is aqua green, the front has the Disney character Ariel (little mermaid) silkscreened and outlined with beads and sequins...everywhere i go people comment on it...and sometimes i hear little girls, yelling at their mom's: "look, mommmy, Ariel, Ariel..." it is quite a riot! ...thanks for the comments, ops, nearly lunch time...by the way, my daughter showed me how to scroll with the mouse, before i used to use the up and down arrows but it is much faster with the little button on the mouse, AND, last night i just figured out how to use the PrievieW button, so now you won't be bothered with multiple comments and p.esses.
cheers,
your truly,
pj
Just tried to book a reservation at the Palmer House and was told to call back on Monday because there sales office was closed. Reservations could only tell me they were booked and I told her we had a block she said she was sorry to call on Monday at 9:00 am. So lets hope there are still rooms.
Nancy
I am testing trying to get a picture on???Sorry...Mary
MERRY MARY ...i'm STILL laughing...ok, i'm writing the foxy grey/silver hair lady joke down to e-mail to my brother in law. actually my sister might take offence as she went grey when she was 21, and had always dyed her hair it's original brunette, and now she is white white white, and my OTHER brother in law, who i had not seen for over 15 years, on seeing me said: "why do you dye your hair" ...i said " humph", but now i will say, "cause i don't want people to think i am blond, lol"; but anyway i could always change the joke to read "bottle brunette", eh? my brother in law thinks i'm kind of silly, anyway... oh well...
have you heard the one about the old guy who joins a nudist colony? it is one of those very long winded ones and i'm not sure if i can remember it accurately, so i won't tease you with it...but someone else out there may know it...
luv ya all,
pj
To the 99.99% of the lovely ladies on the blog. Please ignore the anonymous comments going forward. PLEASE NO COMMENTS BACK to these comments on this blog. Some we'll leave on, others will be deleted. Let the rants go on and don't worry about it. Richard Roe
to DROMA; how about a stretch limosine?...you could fit quite a few lovely ladies into one of those and travel in style!...
man alive!!*&% (edit expletive).. every time i go to preview i lose the connection...i think someone may be trying to hack into MY computer so i'm going to go check my fire wall et al...hmmm, i wonder who it could be....someone whose name begins with "A" (oh oh, is that paranoi on my part?)
to ELLEN-COERAGE; i like that "don't be afraid to go out on a limb, that's where the fruit is..."
well, i'm checking out for the day now...have to have lunch and do some banking...and it is a finnne day on my side of the continent...actually quite hot for the fall...also on Monday they are coming to rip my kitchen sink out and replace the main pipes, so i have to clear a space for them.
later,
cheers,
pj

Have an awesome time in Chi-town Richard; as I know you and all the ladies will. You will make it as fantabulous as the MB event was I am sure. My daughter, Autumn, was just there and at Navy Pier too. I am sorry work and getting all complete will keep me from joining you, Joe and Umberto on this trip, but I want to have all done and in order to be able to go travel with you real soon.
Have FUN with all the FABULOUS SB LADIES in attendance. I will be looking for loads of pics real soon.
Always warm regards,
Ann ;)
When I was in MB I said that the next thing we know we will be taking pictures with a lifesize cardboard duplicate of Richard. This looks pretty close.
Maybe inflaable would be better.
You know what I mean INFLATABLE
For Paula....Know what a blond says when she gives birth?????
("Gee, are you sure it's mine????)Had to go back to Paula cause...a siver haired foxy lady probaly wouldn't be giving birth)...but they could if they are grey at 21 like P.J.'sister.....Anyway Paula's always a good sport and has a wonderful attitude.
Aye ,Aye for now Maties
Well...I finally got a picture on. I was with my mutimillionair retired dentist I dated for awhile this summer. He has a 3000 sq. ft. condo at the lake and a great house in Tulsa and new bass boat etc. but not my cup of tea. He resented me spending time with my children or even leaving to come to my own home. His wife, who was 13 years younger than me died of cancer and he was always calling me by her name...She was Marian and me Mary so pretty close. Aye,Aye again. MM
Hello Richard, aye aye !!(kind of looking like- "AN OFFICER AND A GENTLEMAN" ..Chicago is going to be a great experience, wish I could be there..not sure if I will be able to post a "Hat photo"(I will try though),as we have a Dumpster to start the process of cleaning out Mom's house this week.Although,as of today I have NOT gotten any confirmation of "Acknowledgement"of materials being in M.B.-So,I will wait till Monday to give you a "heads-up"..to all the Woman of the Blog that are going a safe trip... ..P.S.Richard,Umberto,Joe and the S.B.Crew..safe traveling
Richard,Take Care&Enjoy,Sybil
Flowergirl,
Thanks for the kind words about the picture with Richard. I am really enjoying this little adventure! I'm looking forward to meeting you in Chicago. Only 5 days and counting!
Dragonflyfilly,
We will miss you but will try to post photos and information for all to see.
Always...
Pam in Missouri
Pam...You and Richard make a charming couple. I go to Carthrige,Mo. quite abit. I love Precious Moments. I can spend hours there. Everytime I take the chaple tour I get very touched by all Mr. Buthcher has accomplished. I've been going since it was very small and now it has the campground and a perfect wedding chapple. I did live in Grove, Ok. which is only 15 minute to Mo. line so shopped in Joplin alot. I just retired from real estate in Grove. Good luck for your future. Mary
Q: What's stranger than seeing a catfish?
A: Seeing a goldfish bowl.
Joe and RR
That is an awesome photo, but is that real? or one of those edited photos?
Just wondering ...... :-)
Merry Mary, you did it! Today, you were first on the blog and you added your photo to your postings! Congrats to you Ms. Mary so very Merry :)
Richard and Pam , you make a lovely couple. Are you both already there or is this the magic of cyberspace cut and paste??
"To everything there is a season, a time for every purpose under heaven. A time to weep, a time to laugh, a time to mourn, and a time to dance."
Richard, the time for you to dance has come! Here's to seeing you dancing on the Odyssey with all the bodacious babes of the blog who will be heading over to Chi Town shortly.
Hi Richard and Ladies, once again I will be unable to join you for a fabulous "Meet the Senior Bachelor Event". But it sounds absolutely wonderful!!! So I will keep checking the BLOG each day for photos. Very handsome indeed Richard in your tux and Captain gear. This little "chickadee" says a slow boat to China with the Captain would be great!
Cheers!
And now here's one for the musicologists:
Three notes walk into a bar: a C, an E-Flat and a G. The bartender says he doesn't serve minors. So the E-flat leaves and the C and the G have a fifth between them.
Bada bing!
Hello - not to worry ladies ..Pam doesn't have a head start - it was all a fun cut and paste picture. Pam is very clever that way...and Joe obviously liked it enough to add to the fun and adventure. But no one is in Chicago yet,
Love the jokes ladies, keep em coming..
Have a great evening..
Dear Belizegial....I tried, unsuccessfully so my daugter had that picture at her house and she did it from there. I'm lo-tech. Honest gal I'm a fisherlady and a pianist so have seen a cat fish but not a fish bowl and have been known to do a fifth or 2 when I was younger, Those were funny. I love to laugh too.I just got this one from one of my realtor friends I used to work with....A little Indian boy ask his father, the big chief and witch doctor of the tribe,"Why is it that we always have long names while the white men have shorter names like Bill, Tex or Sam?
His father replied"My son,our names reprsent a symbol,a sign or a poem for our culture. Not like the white men who live altogether and repeat their names from generation to generation. Also it is part of our make up that in spite of everything we survive.
For example your sister's name is "Small Romantic Moon Over The Lake"because the night she was born there was a beautiful moon reflected in the lake. Then there's your brother"Big White Horse On The Praries"because he was born on a day that the big white horse who gallaps over the praries of the world appeared in our camp.
It is a symbol of our capacity to live and the life force of our people. It's very simple and easy to understand.
Do you have anymore questions"Little Broken Condom Made In China"?????
Greetings Paula in Florida!
I'll be flying over you in about 1 hour. What city are you in? I'm headed to Naples for the night.
Looking forward to meeting you in Chicago! Attitude is everything :)
Michelle
Richard! Guess what! I wasrecognized today while shopping for groceries! But I was okay with it. I live and teach in the same small village and am used to running into my students and their parent and grandparents. So...now I know what it'd be like, only on a larger scale. Hope you're having a restful weekend. I better go put the groceries away now. See 'ya. :D

P.S. thankyou Merry Merry for the nice comment on my blog. You are the first one.
Paula,
I have one question-how and why do you know the information about the picture.
Also, why would you say no one in in Chicago when Joe said he was?
Wondering minds just want to know!
I am doing this anon because I don't want the drama from some.
Pam Love the photo...what a hoot! Digi-cams can be dangerous!
Re: sending me pics to publish on NNBBSH from Chicago: I don't think computer access would be much help since you would probably need your camera software. If anyone is bringing their laptop, that would be cool to send me some (just click through to the e-mail contact on www.nannynannybooboosisterhood.com BUT I'm sure Umberto and Joe will do a fabulous job of putting some on the blog here! So....if you'd like, at anytime, send me your special pics there and I'll put them on right away.
FAB day here in the desert. Maybe one of the last skinny dipping in the pool days!
OK, Barb & I are booked for Chicago. We just couldn't stand not being there for all the fun. I really want to meet the Captain of the ship again.
NEW LADIES: Plan to have a good time.

NEW LADIES: Plan to have a good time.
I'll have a laptop and with Clickgirl there, I am sure we will post some pictures in Chicago, if there is any time.
I remember MB and our Buds out there taking time to send us shots, we will repay.
All for one and one for all!!!!
WAnda aka Sharingthenight glad you came to a decision about what is happening with your life, we will miss you in Chicago. And glad my friend got to meet you, before you left. Hugs!!!!!!
Hello cathyincarolina that would be awesome! But finding the time could be another story...I was soooo tired at the end of the day in MB but I did pay extra $$ to have internet access in my room so I could give you girls a peek at what was happening. My goal was to beat Joe to the pic posting but man he was on top of it!! I'm jealous you get to meet Brenda aka Clickgirl!
I would strongly suggest that eveyone read La Dolce Vida 9/24 comments in About me.
Answered some of my questions.
Linda -- what happened to all your different postings??? Everything from you'll bite, etc. Where did they go?
Hello Richard, Joe, Umberto and Ladies:
Only 5 more days, yes, yes, yes!!!
I got my crazy hat done this evening, oh my gosh, I don't know how I'm going to carry it on the plane!!! I can see me now trying to go through security!! It is a hoot! This is so much fun...
Count me in on the photo deal for the Odyssey!! Of course, I want one taken too!!
I'm sorry I'm going to miss the interview of you Richard on the Fox station. I will be flying to Chicago at that time. Hopefully they will play a tape of it whiie we are at the hotel.
By the way, Richard, are we suppose to bring copies of our tapes and biography with us to Chicago????
Have a wonderful evening!
Linda P.
BACK FROM COZUMEL ! ! !
HELLO, TO MY FELLOW BLOGGETTES!!
What a nice blog we're having today! I have a week of catching up to do, but nice to see old and new faces! And such politeness!
HI JOE!! And you, too, Richard! Thanks for the ongoing effort at ANONYMOUS policing. It's appreciated.
What a GREAT diving experience I had! Got certified Master Diver and Rescue Diver! These were some of the Open Water test dives: shore and boat dives, drift dives, night dives, deep dives, navigation, search and recovery, underwater rescues, out-of-air emergencies, surface rescue, first aid, mapping, photography ...!!
And all set in the most gorgeous, clear blue waters of the Caribbean! COZUMEL (an island just off of Cancun, Mexico)! What colors! Corals, fish! I'll post a few of my digital land-based photos tomorrow, but the underwater photos (I hope the "critters" turn out as good as what I saw!!)
Will now migrate to my NNBBS site and say 'Goodnight', too!
Hugs!
Suzan,
with good tan from Cozumel!
ps - SYLVIA!! Congratulations! Send me an email! SC
ERRATA ...
(to continue thought) .. The Underwater photos are 35mm and have to be developed then burned to disc, so I can upload and post to my blog. Then, if they turn out, I'll let you know!!
(Sorry to all for disconnected thoughts!)
Suzan
I just have to post once more and say that I am at the Lake, where I love to go, but do not have a phone line on my floating cabin. So I am atop my friends lovely house boat which has a phone line to catch up on the happenings here.
Please excuse if there are typos for it is dark and hard to see the keyboard.
We were on the Lake today looking for brown bear that like to swim in the water, this time of year.
It was great here with Hurricans to the South and I was talking to my friend out by Wanda in Montana, where it was snowing meanwhile, we were soaking up the sun in Carolina.
My cell phone is dead tonight and I am glad for the Blog to stay connected with civilization.
I am about to get in my boat and go back to my cabin for rest. I usually sleep in my hamock that swings over the water and soak up the night air.
You know I really enjoy being outside and close to nature, Richard I hope that you do not have to compromise too much how you enjoy traveling to include someone else. I think that your style of traveling is something that once you get a feel for it, it becomes a incredible passion.
I am sure that there are many of the wise women here that enjoy getting close to the cultures that you're visiting by living more basically and experiencing the land as well.
I hope your overwhelming response will not hinder you from meeting those kindred spirits that really want to feel and experience the traveling, as you do.
Here is hoping for you and the ladies who have really understood what you are looking for and are those earth connected people, here's hoping that somehow you will find each other through this process and "your Dream really does come true'.
I am looking forward to the great time that we will have in Chicago, to meet all the wonderful folks.
I am so happy to be alive and have love in my heart tonight. Thanks to everone here that has contributed to that by our unity and goodwill toward each other.
Good nite and Peace to all!!!!!!
cathy those are sweet thoughts to end the evening with...so on that note I will say g'nite to Richard and friends
Where Oh Where Did LADY BASE CAMP and SKYWATCHER "ELLA" go? Did Lady B. Camp run off with her Dr. Erotica, the dentist? Did she start singing WWII songs and he took his drill to her? Did "Ella" go ice skating on the moon with Walter Brennan? Come Back!! We miss your fun and insights. Where is BRENDA, CLICK GIRL? Are you off to the United Nations, trying to create world peace? The blog is so quiet except for the trouble making DEJECTED from the past. Well, I am going to bed and watch SNL and laugh myself to sleep. I hope that Lady Base, Ella and Brenda did not think Richard and Joe meant for them to stop posting. I thought they were addressing the trouble makers when something about leaving the blog open for fun and important messages about CHICAGO, ETC. Well, I am off the blog for today. I have emailed myself to death the last couple of days, trying to bring peace to my club, and they are not listening!! They continue the coup d'e-tat within the organization. Girls, please come back to the blog. Are you on your way to the windy city early? Lady Jayne
Hello Ladies,
Been away for most the day and then had internet access problems-- should we conjure up a conspiracy theory? LOL!
You Ladies are terrific-- glad to see "most" of you got the photo gag. "Pam in Missouri" great photo touch up!! And, no, Richard did NOT go to Chicago- and he is NOT married- and only Richard knows if Pam is a chosen one.
"droma" posted right above your comment is a summary of the agenda from me to answer your question. I've already checked with the doorman of the hotel and they will make sure there are plenty of cabs waiting for us. No "tour" buses for this group. Are we Adventurers or no!! Remember the types of places you are going to see on the world Journey-- and you don't want to walk one and half blocks?! C'mon.
Don't know about computer access at the hotel. I'll check into it.
Also, the hotel has only set aside a certain number of rooms in the "block" for the special Senior Bachelor rate. Richard has been hounding them to up the number of allowable room nights in the block and the hotel has adjusted it three times now. Be sure to be insistent about asking for the special rate.
"Suzan" glad you are back safe and sound- many of us were worried about the possible effects of the hurricanes. Cozumel is one of my favorite spots- hope it is still unspoiled.
"Leslie" YOU'RE FAMOUS!!
Going to turn the blog on only to non-anonymous posters for the time being. So if you have been posting anonymously, please work on developing a blog profile to post. Sorry that 00.01% of the bloggers have taken us to this step but this is what the world has come to when dealing with this type of person.
Good night!

actually MERRY MARY, there was a woman in England who gave birth to a baby when she was 60 years old, i saw a photo of her in the paper, but i'm not sure if her hair was pure white, maybe mousy gray.
hah hah, no serously, and in there was also one in Russia many many years ago, who had a baby and she was older than 60. wonders never cease, but you are still cracking me up with your jokes! too kool

oh, but before i do here is a cherry message for you really early risers:
"When one door of happiness closes, another opens; but often we look so long at the closed door that we do not see the one which has been opened for us."
- Hellen Keller.
good night and good morning, or as they say in Italy; "ciao"

All you girls from the Pacific Northwest, you’re my homies and I’m going to put on HEART-- Dog & the Butterfly , dedicated to you and me and this great place we live in. I’ve had a long end of the week teaching and back on ambulance call + 2 fire calls. No “me time" at all. And I’m not done until Tuesday. I even missed a sunny day today. EXCRUCIATING! I’m so excited about my new “YAK”! and I have been reading my kayak books. Jill Fredston’s Rowing to Latitude is blowing my mind. She’s so witty and to my great surprise it is a love story and I have to be careful when reading it because my students will loose their confidence in me if I walk back into class all weepy trying to teach them emergency medical response—( Waahhhaaahh and then you apply pressure to the femoral artery …. Blubblub booo hoo.) IT’s a BEAUTIFUL story about a woman’s athleticism and love and it really “gets me.”
ALL you Girls, you will have sooo much fun in Chi town! Richard is wonderful. He’s a great entertainer, is nice to everyone and he thoroughly enjoys the event. You’ll feel completely comfortable within the first few hours and settle right in to have fun. I am so glad I went to MB. I decided the day before my departure to go and I got THE LAST ROOM! Listen to the song “Kissed by a Rose” by SEAL -- it will elevate appreciation of romance. Listen to Paul McCartney’s Maybe I’m Amazed, sing along changing the gender and pluralize it, Mormon style “Maybe WE”RE amazed at the way you love US all the time. . .”
Paula, your smile is so beautiful, you are a beautiful lady. You remind me of my gentle middle daughter who is the most wise and free spirit. She is moving with her partner to the Olympic Penninsula and will begin to make her living as an artist. When she was born I lived in the bush and the doctor told me not to wash her for 3 days. I thought she was a red head and then when we bathed her for the first time she had the most beautiful snow white hair! On the first day of her life she rode in a pickup truck, a Cessa 170B, a canoe and a 3 wheeler! 85 miles home.
It’s Richard’s head, sort of, and set too far to the right but that’s about it unless he has had wrist reduction, removal of ¾ of his gluteus maximus, switched pelvis with a lanky 22 year old, been recently married and somebody seriously messed with his spine. Ladies, if you bought into this picture being real BE VERY CAREFUL on internet dating sites! What you see is not what you get and you will get crushed by the pathological liars that abound in online Love Land! They are so shrewd!
I wouldn’t date my dentist. Unethical. Besides, he’s drunk Fridays thru Mondays. Smart people make appointments on Wednesdays.
“WE ALWAYS TRAVELED IN TWO BOATS . THIS GIVES US AN EXTRA MARGIN OF SAFETY AND ALLOWS US TO CARRY SEVERAL MONTH’S WORTH OF SUPPLIES. MORE IMPORTANT IT KEEPS US FROM HATING EACH OTHER. IT WOULD TAKE BETTER PEOPLE THAN WE ARE TO SHARE A SMALL BOAT DAY AFTER DAY AND THEN TO CRAWL INTOTHE SAME TENT NIGHT AFTER NIGHT FOR WEEKS ON END” Jill Fredston- Rowing to Latitude
Havent had time to work on my blog- I have a story almost ready.
It’s SNL Will Ferrell night! (Ahhm too sexy for ma cowbell, too sexy for ma cowbell)
Aloha Ladies,
By the time you read this..I will still be asleep. I finally got my blog page up .maybe)
I just wanted to thank Joe & Richard for this great journey that all of us beautiful ladies get to take.. Im so excited and did a "Tom Cuise " jumped up and down on my couch. My doggie looked at me, and woof!
Just a thought to all the ladies coming to "Chicago".
Each friend represent a world in us, a world possibly not born until they arrive, and it is only by this meeting that a new world is born.

Testing... to see if this works.
Good morning, everyone!
They wouldn't let me use the name I've been posting under ('Nancy in Ohio'), so I added the V for the city in which I live.
Nancy
So confusing... so it only used 'Nancy'.... Ok - just so I remember......
Good Morning! Not sure what to wear here today so we'll try the bedhead/hat look, ha ha.
YIPPIE! No more anon postings allowed so we can all play in peace. I'm thinkin it's a great day for a walk on the beach...too bad I'm stuck in the desert!
Good morning Richard, Joe, Umberto and Ladies:
A rainy morning but it doesn't hamper the excitement or spirit of the upcoming trip!! It seems the time is passing quickly, I just hope that by Thursday it slows down a bit so the weekend will last a long time!!!! It seems as if the closer it gets, the more time I spend on the blog sites!!
Ladies, I am really looking forward to meeting so many of you. Just by sharing some e-mails have started our friendships!!
See you all soon!
Linda P.
Goodmorning Ladies, Richard, and Crew!
Just got home and had to feed the hummingbirds, they are truly amazing birds. To imagine they beat their wings around 200 times a second, and Linda imagine this :) their long tongues lick the nectar aproximately 13 times per second.(--smile--)
I have had a family that comes from July until October for the past 6 years. They are amazing to watch. I have many feeders but the one that sticks to the window is the most fun to watch, you can see their tongue in action!
Pleasant Thoughts Ladies!!
Oh, and Linda!
Skinny dipping season is year round in Georgia because of the hot tub :) Michelle

A man is shopping in the grocery store and this really good looking blonde starts waving at him and saying Hello. He is rather taken aback that such a good looking girl would be waving to him and can't place where he might know her from so he says sorry, do you know me.? She replies I may be mistaken but I think you're the father of one of my children. His mind shoots back to the one and only time he was unfaithful to his wife and says...Good grief, are you the stripper from my stag party? The one I had sex with on the pool table while all the guys hit me with wet celery sticks???? No, she replies coldly...I'm your sons kindergaten teacher....Oh my gosh. Hope you are all having a great Sun. I've been to church with my kids and to the nursing home to see my father in law so a very good day so far. Take care. Lovinly, Mary B.
Dear Suzan,CONGRATULATIONS....and the water is so beautiful around Cozmel and Cancun. It is just awsome. MM
Hi Everyone -
I've read several times about a 'blog curfew', so rather than ask, I went back over the last two entire blogs and didn't find anything telling when it is. Would someone tell me? (I'm on E.S.T., so am 3 hours ahead of Calif. time).
Thanks -
Nancy (aka Nancy in Ohio)

Good Day All
I am so impressed with the better not bitter blogs!! Yeah! It is a great day.
I have a really inspiring story for you all today...
I have a family living near me that are well, let's say as much, if not more, in need as the hurricane folks. There is a 2 year old involved. I brought the grandmother to church with me today (it is actually a new church for me since I have moved here 6 months ago. I explained their situation and ask the associate Pastor what they could do for them.. Well, if anyone questions why go to church? well this is why -because they really do care for the community and give to the needy. I don't know if all churches do that but I was very impressed with the way they handled the situation and made them feel - well normal. They didn't know them or me. Just a neighbor asking for a neighbor who was to ashamed to ask for help.
They gave them gift cards to get groceries, they gave them money to keep them going, and they will pick them up and carry them to church every sunday, and they are getting them medical and dental care right away - most of that was given today. Wow! God is good -huh!
People do reach out for each other and it makes my heart glad!
I am such a sap for happy endings..
Have a thankful day!
PAULA,...........wonderful, that's what it's all about. That's what he (God, or whatever name you use) is just asking us to do.
BE kind, giving and honest. to think of other's before ourselves.
Thank you for seeing and sharing.
Dear VJ,
Another Pop and Me review. I bought 4 so took one to my daughter today and told her to call me after she watched it and tell me if she got the idea RR would be controlling since I read that on the blog 2 or 3 times (probably the annonymos's) She called back and said No ,he's just being a Dad...that's the way they are. She said if you get him tell him to let his beard grow back out..I like it. She's 47...I'm Richard's age . She said she really enjoyed watching it, that it was quite different. I also took it to child #2 but they have company so he probably won't get to watch it today...then one for my sister. She's in Grove so don't know when I'll get it to her. I was going to bring them and have RR autograph them but there's no place. He can write his name on my heart. Is that roe'mantic,as you say? Take care. Mary "Living On Tulsa Time".

OH MY GOSH RICHARD What a cute picture of you and Pam. I've been so busy, no time to have fun on the blogs and play with all my new friends. But it looks like Chicago is just around the courner.
Hey Linda What happen to your wedding veil? I really liked that one. I was sure your were just about ready to go on your honeymoon with you know who. GRIN Did you pick which trip you want to go on yet? LOL
Paula The story about your eperie
