SCROLLITIS PREVENTION
OK, ok, here's a new blog. Umberto just left and we are finally all caught up in the cataloging of videos, biographies, and other information. Joe is always spending some part of his day, or all day, on SB website work, and other SB tasks, however most of Sunday's are family days with his lovely wife Nancy and two children Jimmy and Taylor. I continue to screen videos and work on the Newsletter and work on Chicago plans. There is nothing new-you know as much information about Chicago as we do. So.....that's it for now. Best wishes to all. RR

Hello Everyone,
I can't believe it is already Sunday evening. The time is going by so quickly. I just finished making arrangements to park my car while I'm in Chicago.
I now have 3 roommates to share the room, I have talked to all and we are going to have such a wonderful time. We're planning our PJ party!!!!
My neighbor came over to see my "crazy hat" and she laughed so hard, I thought for a minute I was going to have to call 911!!!! Now I need to figure out what to wear Saturday night. There is always something to plan!!
Well, many things to do, so I better close for now. Goodnight to all. See you all soon.

Dear danapointlois
Of course I remember you! You were in MB with your family? (I hope I got it right?!) I DO remember begging to sit behind the back seat, on the floor, and hiding from the police behind us, so Charles wouldn't get a ticket! I had a great time kite flying that afternoon! (Check my Blog for some of my MB photos, as well as my new Cozumel photos!) Are you going to Chicago as well??
JOE - When you get back from Sunday with family, let me know what you think of the latest photos. Are they as you remember the place?
Hugs to all!
Suzan
RICHARD!!
WE ARE ALL THINKING ABOUT YOU :)

Richard and Joe and Ladies of the Blog - I'm glad you enjoyed the "cruise picture" of Richard and me. I hope to have a "real" one taken in Chicago. I didn't want to say much about it until the word went out from Joe and Richard that it had been "created". My friend and I had a good time putting it together. I'm glad Richard found a useful way to use it also. Joe, thanks for all your hard work on keeping track of the blog and all the computer info. Can't wait to meet you and Umberto.
MerryMary - I agree that Precious Moments is a cool place to visit. I have been there several times and when visiting the chapel I usually get very emotional. Sam Butcher has really done a lot for our little community and the surrounding area. When you lived in Grove did you happen to know Pat and Bud Hayes? I worked with Pat for several years at Carthage schools before she and Bud moved to Grove. Can't wait to get to meet you in Chicago. We are going to party!
Ladies of the Blog - I think we need to set up a meeting time in Chicago for all blog members to get together. I would love to put faces with all the great names I am seeing daily. Did you do something like that in MB? Just a thought. Chi-Town bound on Thursday! Yikes - only 4 days! Gotta figure out what to pack! More later.
Always...
Pam in Missouri
Hey Pam in MO!
When you get your name tags, write out your blog name on it also. Some of us did this in MB it helps when you mingle having fun, fun, fun!!
Michelle
P.S. I grew up in Missouri :)
Hi Suzan You were close....Thanks for the complement. ref. family...We were in the van with tourists from N.Y. and Boston. They were in MB for a batmitzva sp? I had also met them on the way to the beach...So yeah, I guess you could say we were like family already:):) Wasn't Charles the driver great....Glad we did'nt get that ticket..
No, as much as I would like to,I am not going to Chicago. SOMEDAY...LOIS
checking for my picture.
Aloha Ladies,
It took me forever and ever to get my picture up on the blog, I had to keep going in and redoing it.
If anyone can tell me how to get it to post out on this blog I would appreciated it. I have tried every thing! but to no sucess!
Special "Thank-you" to Linda P. I know that we will all have fun P.J. party. Also, I love the picture's of Forest Hill..I hope to meet you one day..
Hope & pray that we all have a safe flight to Chicago.
Thank-you & Mahalo!
PS: It's still early in "Hawaii".

Linda, I don't know how you do it. I was watching Extreme Home Make Over and read part of my new Oprah magazine...and you beat me again.
Pam,the names don't ring a bell. Grove is really growing. I was only there 4 years and attended First Christian Church and did real estate, active on P.A.R.B. board and Chamber of Commerce and Weight Watcher so met many, many people.
Suzan...Those were cute..Here's one for u....
If the police arrest a mime...does he have the right to remain silent///????Good night RR and chickadees. I'm going to go watch alittle more tv in bed and get rested for CHICAGO. Goodnight Linda...I did beat you there tonight.(:

Merry Mary You are so funny. I have an online biz/store so I often sit with my laptop while skim watching a movie or something, compulsively checking on my sales and adjusting my bids per click for optimization. So what the heck...I check in here too! That's my inside secret :)
Actually, this whole journey has been quite serendipitous from the beginning!
I'll say g'nite to you now Richard and friends!
SERENDIPITOUS! OH HOW TRUE MISS LINDA!!
A candle, hot tub, birthday suit, one glass Consilience Syrah from Santa Barbra County, and a phone call to my sisters, my dear mom, and my best friend!
LIFE IS TRULY AS GOOD AS YOU MAKE IT!!
Goodnightto all!! for it is almost the magic midnight hour here on the east coast! Sweeeeet Dreamssss!! Michelle
HEY RICHARD!

thanks, Erika
I am looking for a room mate for the Chicago Senior Bachelor event. If interested, could you email me at j.frey@mchsi.com or call 618-201-4259
RICHARD When things settle down it would be fun to see some pictures of where you stayed in Italy and Umberto's Villa. What do you think?
To Linda...Ah Ha...That explains it .
Erika..At least you are learning for yourself. I've always depended on kids and grandkids to do all this stuff. I'm on 4th computer and 2nd digital camera and don't know how to use any. I always did my Buddie mail but that's it.My daugeter said I act stupid so everyone will do everything for me. I've got her fooled...I really am shen it comes to all this. I made my money being face to face...The CEO of our company I sold real estate for said get out there belly to belly and used the phrase if you don't do that you better give your heart to God 'cause I'm going to own your A--. He was and is a charater...but like me...his son doew all the technical stuff at the company. He's always close the meetings with "Go get 'em Tigers" so I'll close with "Go get 'em Chickadees". I've got to finish packing. I leave Wed. so see ya soon My Love ,My Pet ,My chickadees and Joe and Umbreto and Mr. Captain Roe oster.....Cock a doodle dooooooooo. I love all of you.MM
P.S. If you try to fail and succeed........which have you done???????
Ahoy there and Aye Aye Cap'an ROE...JOE ...Posse and Bloggers ;)
It's a beautiful mornin'...the fresh smell of rain which I love

While I was writing this the other night Joe closed down the blog so I am a few nights late & a $ short. .
Don’t know if I can put this here but from what I understood what made this so special was the sharing of the good , bad & ugly & the return support.
First SYLVIA- Congratulations! WELCOME TO GRAMDOM! What’s her name? Glad at least this ordeal is over & the wonder (& ful) begins for all.
2nd - If it needs to go someplace else that is o.k. just tell me. Below is from my daughter, Sherene, a film composer. In a long, funny story, I met Daria Finn & hooked her up to Sherene. She is our “ageish” so was doing this before Danica Patrick. Please don't delay. Many thanks. Mama Ada
HELP WIN AUDIENCE AWARD FOR TV PILOT
Hey Everyone,
> Sorry for the mass email but I'm hoping all of you can help me out. A few years ago I wrote music for a trailer of a TV pilot called "Second Wind."
The show is up for an audience award as part of the (first annual) "New York Television Festival" going on in NYC. Sept.29-Oct. 2) This is an opportunity for
you to see some of my work online and for you to vote for the show. Here's what you can do, click on this link:
http://online.tvguide.com/special/nytvf2005/drama.asp
Scroll to the bottom and you can watch the trailer with my music by
clicking on the "Watch Clip" next to the blurb about "Second Wind." Then under the poll select the show and click "Vote." That's all I'm asking you to do!
Thanks for the support. Hopefully it'll win, get made into show and then I can score it! I don't know when voting ends so don't put this off.
Anyone still looking for a roommate in Chic?
PEACE MARCH REPORT-- we were 300,000+ strong ! As we were standing on the curb taking it all in, a beautiful woman came whirling by me. It was JOAN BAEZ rushing to the front line to be with the Iraq Veterans against the War! I went to stand by her and show her my words ' Give Peace a Chance' written on my arm and my hat and she gave me a wink. Tears came to my eyes -- this icon of our era, this stunning 60+-year old woman, who walks her talk, who spent 6 days at Camp Casey, who will not forget the fire of our generation.
"Make Levees, Not War"; "How Many Gallons per Body?" and "Who would Jesus Bomb?" were among the hundreds of sentiments in the signage.
There was Jesse Jackson, there was Ramsey Clark, there was Sweet Honey in the Rock-- their stalwart consciences speaking still and the new, as- yet- unfamiliar but heartily embraced new generation of consciences speaking out.
A restaurant along the way allowed ANYONE access to their restroom facilities. Hundreds of factions were represented --families of 9/11 survivors and Mothers of Iraq Veterans and Women in White and Women in Black and Buddists and nuns and folks from Montana and Iowa and Michigan and Florida marching behind banners declaring so.
At the end of the day, weary, thirsty and hungry my companions and I pooled the cash we had tucked in our pockets to find we had JUST enough to cover the meal we ordered. The restaurant manager didn't care about our cash, he presented three gratis glasses of a lovely white wine to give tribute to our efforts that day.
As we celebrate the fun and sisterhood and good fortune we have in this SB venture, let us also keep a prayer in our thoughts for peace -- peace within ourselves and peace on earth.
Best to all-- Connie AKA ceesoo AKA dancingirl
Peace and compassion in our hearts-how that would mellow out some of this world! Connie it sounds like your travel to DC was a heart felt experience. What an honor to be with Joan Baez marching for peace. I am happy that your travels were safe. Welcome back! Michelle
connie,
DITTOES from me. I watched some of it on our news here. Good job. Shaloam, MM
Good Morning! I am still playing "dress up" for awhile (that's for you dreamweaver)
Connie what an experience! It gave me chills to read about it. I'm not sure what kind of moxy it takes to actually participate in something like that but girl you got it!
Say, where is Sharon/Coach? Didn't see her this weekend...wanted to view that way cute pic of her & RR again!
Hope everyone is off to a fabulous day!
Ada-- I cast my vote for Second Wind, your show at tvguide.com. My Dad owned a 1/4 mile banked dirt oval car racing track in the late 1960's. The clip reminded me of those late model cars and the racetrack drama which was part of my h.s. life. Good luck!
Connie

My congrats to you in your diving endeavors, I love scuba diving, it's like being in a whole different world! It gives me the same rush as flying :)
Maybe someday we can be dive buddies! Check out "The Nutty Mermaid" it's my web page in my profile. I dive most often in the Carribean but have dove "The great Barrier Reef" which was my favorite so far. I'ts like a rain forest underwater.
Pleasant dives and congratulations again!! Michelle

Connie – WOW! Good for you, at the Peace March! Wish I could have been two places at the same time. It must have been tremendous seeing all those people. I did it, too, in DC in the early 70’s. Over 500,000 at that War Protest on the Capitol Mall. I was 16 at the time (my parents drove me up, can you believe it?!) We were both representing our beliefs, against war, for peace. I loved some of the signs that you mentioned. Hope they turn into bumper stickers and have staying power. Time to get our military out of Iraq, and home where they’re really needed. Can you imagine how quickly the south could be rebuilt if each soldier held a hammer here in the U.S., instead of a weapon in Iraq? And I doubt if anyone would be shooting at him/her. (OK, I’ll get off my soapbox now!)
ada - Voted for your daughter's "Second Wind" show. Hope it helps!
Hugs to all!
Suzan
ps - Merry Mary, the voting is on that same web page, just scroll down to the bottom!!
Thanks, MICHELLE (nuttymermaid!) for your comments! Isn't it JUST WONDERFUL down there? You would love the water in Cozumel (if you haven't been already!) Joe, Sunni, Paula and others have been to Cozumel and can vouch for me...
I haven't been to the Great Barrier Reef, YET. There, along with the Coral Sea and Papua New Guinea are the BIG dive destinations I still want to go to. Australia and the Cairns area (for diving) have long been on my mind. Maybe I'll have a chance to go soon (?!). I wish!! (Don't we ALL !!!)
I'm off to go pick up my pictures! (Fingers crossed!)
Hugs!

Suzan, I scrolled all the way down but I went ahead and emailed my vote in for Second Wind...Heopfully, that will work...Give me an E for effort. I found some kind of poll but wasn't the right one. If anyone can make something hard out of something simple it's yours truly. Thanks for the help. Brown headed blondy
