Introducing Richard the Second!

this is an audio post - click to play
Kudos to the following Ladies: (from "Bestest Friend" on the blog)
"Karen(KY) suggested the song, which was a Richard Roe rendition of Hayley Mills' 'Johnny Jingo')---which was an old 45 record she memorized as a child---guess she's showing her age! Patty Crow(IL) (made & brought the blow up Richard II that she used in her video to Richard---I would LOVE to see that!!!) Sharon Bramer(KY) & Peggy Rondeau(MA) –danced with Richard II Angie Blalock(LA), Jini Lester(IL) & Jane Papagiannis(IL) –were the "backup" singers.
The lyrics are as follows:We never loved any boy like we love Richard Roe---"Roe"We never kissed any boy like we kissed Richard Roe---"Roe"We're through with Billy, Willie, Ricky, Dickie, Eddie, Freddy, I got me a brand new steady---Oh what he does, what he does to my heart when he holds me...Oh how I love when he whispers in my ear---This is LOVE! The feeling is Zingo! Jingo! We never loved any boy like we love Richard Roe---"Ohhhhh"We never loved any boy like we love Richard Roe....I said Roe...boo, boo, be doo...Yeah!(Obviously in the Hayley Mills version where it says Richard Roe, she used the Name Johnny Jingo)
Joe again: Thanks, Ladies, great job! Next step, streaming video. (I hope!) (and with Patty Crow's permission, maybe a snippet of her video to Richard if she gives us permission.) Thanks, Umberto, for helping me with this.
-joe
I'm going to close the other "posts" so let's comment on this one for a while.
Note below the new posting of the audio of the Marilyn skit. It sounds much better!
And, hey, I am so jealous of you Ladies for getting out and about in Chicago. Please share with us everything you did around the city. What is this about the Indian Hindu wedding at the Palmer House on Sunday?

Hi, Leslie. Hey, I love your word, "pioneer"..good job! Good to see your smiling face again!! So, HELLO to all the PIONEER BLOGGETTES!
No, Lois and I did not GO to Chicago... we only enjoyed the PICTURES sent back AND the wonderful "travelogues" that were shared. MY SYNTAX WAS A BIT OFF, sorry!
We really wanted to go, but thought we should give all those other beautiful, smart, savvy ladies a chance at the man without the distractions of the two of us beautiful, mouthy women!! TeeHee!

Seriously, "danapointlois" and I met on the blog, then got together in MB, and have continued as good friends. The picture you see on both of our profiles is when we met for dinner on the San Clemente pier a couple of weeks ago and enjoyed a fabulous sunset. It is fun to have found a friend who is not only close in personality, but close geographically, too! We both changed our picture to this one, to show-off what fabulous side benefits there can be to Richard's "Search"!
I do miss bantering with you all...Leslie, desertflower, lindaintucson, debbyeddy, clickgirl, canadianbloggette. But the college semester has me very busy. I will be glad when I get rid of the students at Christmas
...then I will be back on the computer watching Richard's antics; that is, IF he will share! So, I hope all of you will be here, so we can do some
"sharing" of our own!!
love to all, including the big guy,
ciao,
sharon

To set the record straight:

In regards to the Richard the Second Skit:

As previously posted to Joe on Tuesday, October 04, 2005 6:53:41 AM:

Karen(KY)DID NOT make up the lyrics--- she only suggested the song, which was a Richard Roe rendition of Hayley Mills' 'Johnny Jingo')---which was an old 45 record she memorized as a child---guess she's showing her age!

Patty Crow(IL) (made & brought the blow up Richard II that she used in her video to Richard---I would LOVE to see that!!!)

Sharon Bramer(KY) & Peggy Rondeau(MA) –danced with Richard II

Angie Blalock(LA), Jini Lester(IL) & Jane Papagiannis(IL) –were the "backup" singers.

The lyrics are as follows:

We never loved any boy like we love Richard Roe---"Roe"

We never kissed any boy like we kissed Richard Roe---"Roe"

We're through with Billy, Willie, Ricky, Dickie, Eddie, Freddy, I got me a brand new steady---

Oh what he does, what he does to my heart when he holds me...

Oh how I love when he whispers in my ear---

This is LOVE! The feeling is Zingo! Jingo!

We never loved any boy like we love Richard Roe---"Ohhhhh"

We never loved any boy like we love Richard Roe....I said Roe...boo, boo, be doo...Yeah!

(Obviously in the Hayley Mills version where it says Richard Roe, she used the Name Johnny Jingo)

Hey Joe and everyone,
Good job on the new audio! Real clear and brought back the fun of the moment.
I don't know about all of you but I went around all yesterday with the song "Diamonds are a Girl's Best Friend" going through my head.....it's taken this long to come back down to earth from our fabulous weekend.
Brenda......you are TOO MUCH and your Wedding Crashers is a stitch! I wish I had your talents. You are a great lady and I am so glad you got to Chicago to share yourself with all of us who have known you from the blog.
It's starting to cool of in the Midwest and we were all so lucky to have had the great weather in Chicago for our weekend because it is now in the 50's. See how fast it changes around here? Yesterday it was in the 80's and today 50's. We really lucked out! It was all meant to be!
Hugs to each and everyone,

Just in case my roommates missed my message on the last blog - (they go too fast for me)! Thank you for friendship. There is another post on one of these things!! I am reading and following but am unable to participte much because I still have not figured out what to do.

Yvonne from Hawaii - love you and will be sending email to your personal site again soon. Call any time. You are busier than I so I will have you call me. Remember we can talk forever on Verizon! I read your post yesterday and posted right after you.

Suzie-Q from Missouri - love you too and hope you are not working too hard since you are home. I want all of us to keep in touch some way. Have not heard from you since you are home but will email you personally in a while. You don't happen to have a Verizon cell do you? Even if you don't I would be happy to call you.

Debbie from Richmond, Virginia. I met another lady via email who would have so much in common with you...me too. I may forward her email to you after she writes back and gives me permission. E-mail or call Love ya!

Linda P from here in the "other" Illinois! Alton? I did not room with you but really enjoyed you. You are so sweet and full of life!! What fun at "Mother's". Will know better next time, I will not carry a purse or leather jacket! My Mom pulled money from her bra in the middle of an appliance store! I was shocked then but now, who cares! Next time, I will have a bra purse! Please get in touch with me. j.frey@mchsi.com Having those things kept me from dancing as much as I would like.

Connie "Pick Me" You get in touch too. I said I was not going to start listing names because I would not get all I wanted so, I am going to stop here. I forget where you live but, I would love to get some of that "dance therapy" from you. Sounds like a lot of fun and you have some good moves!!!

I have pictures in my camera. I want to share them with everyone. Is there a way I can put them on the blog? Help me. I have a digital camera and can attach it directly to the computer to download. I took a lot of pictures at the "Silly Hat Party". For those of you who do not remember my taking your picture, I was the one in the hard hat.

I found it easy to save all the pictures posted by our handsome talented Umberto (spelling?). Most of you were probably ahead of me but for the few who may not be, I posted how to do it in the last message.

I am horrible remembering names but to the Grandmother who shared her granddaughter. Sweetie, (Granddaughter) you were great..so helpful and well mannered. I really enjoyed dancing with you. You are a good dancer! I thought you took lessons!! You did not miss a step and I was doing some old Arthur Murray stuff that was long before your time!!! I have very good pictures of Grandma and Granddaughter too. Get in touch with me. Again, j.frey@mchsi.com

I will remember detailed conversation long after names fade. I will remember faces. I have a tee shirt that says, "It's okay, I forgot your name too." Help me remember you with names. I want to make a scrapbook and, if it turns out well I will share it with you.

Dear Richard, Staff and wonderful Ladies.

What lucky opportunities and talents we share as we Pass through time.

If you click on my sight
you will also see 2 audio messages. I did the second one first then of course, My usual PS. I did not want to interrupt the fun on this sight.

OPRAH NEEDS OUR HELP!

For the new bloggers not used to the audio, It is simple.
In my case, click on my name above, that takes you to my sight. scroll down and click on the News and Views blog. Click on the desired audio. You will see it load probably on the upper left cornor of your screen. shortly, something will come up with a PLAY button or symbol. click the "X" when done and go on as you like.

I knew Oprah on a personal basis when I lived near Chicago. NEVER before have I seen her so PLEADING for
everyone's help as she did after showing some of the HURT families endure earlier this week. If you have no time for audioes, go to Oprah.com and find the pictures I think she said she will post each Friday.

We have time for fun and time to help as we can.
Every day and action makes a difference.

From my own work place last night, I tell you that Sonia, Nickie and another Cathy thank you in advance.

Also Richard, I sincerely thank You. Our enjoyment of these fun times and some of our backgrounds will give others HOPE in the unknown and just maybe a reason to hang on. That could be another part of the "Mission/Benefit" you hadn't even known about.

Hey All, just rec'd a cuplicate newsletter...thanks...i was a bit confused... never mind.

just want to say to you RICHARD...quit explaining yourself (and i mean that in the nicest possible way) ...many years ago, after i had to leave my ex-husband, and retrain myself to get back into the work force, a very smart and strong woman gave me a valuable tool; - whenever someone gives you (hurtful, destructive, mean, unhelpful) criticism: you can either just think this to yourself, or if the person won't get off your back, say it out loud: "fortunately for me, your opinion of me is not my reality"
cheers for now,
pj

p.s. the above post is not just for Richard, it is for anyone who is palgued with "well-intentioned" individuals who think that their negagive criticism is at all helpful..you know, we all have those people in our lives from time to time.

i learned in Toasmistress long time ago, the way to offer CONSTRUCTIVE criticism is,
simply:
1. Commend
2. Recommend
3. Comment.

Hi Ladies,

Sorry for the mysterious second sending of the Newsletter. Remember the original Newsletter on Tuesday had in the subject line "Women Gone Wild!!!"

Well, we've now learned that this is very similar to a pornographic video series called "Girls Gone Wild" and is on the spam list of most email filters. So we received a notice that many of the newsletters got blocked by spam filters and automatically deleted the Senior Bachelor Newsletter!! A very innocent mistake that we won't make again. (Although, you know what Richard meant, right?!)

Thanks for your understanding.

Joe - regarding the Hindu wedding at Palmer House - when I was returning to the hotel on Sunday afternoon a man on a white horse was surrounded by mostly men chanting, clapping, and drumming - I asked one of the participants what was going on and he said that the man on the horse was going to marry his cousin. And that the groom is a soap opera star and had appeared on Scrubs (I do not watch either-so cannot tell you who is was.) It was all quite exciting - they marched into lobby and up stairs to where I assume bride was waiting. I do have a picture of him -
Melanie
PS - I wrote this on another section of the blog as well. Some great pictues - thanks for posting them all - brings back some really fun times - makes me smile.

Hey, Blogging IS addictive! I almost missed a birthday party last night reading everyones and then tried to post and it was closed...Oh well, it's a beautiful day in Houston and I hit some golf balls, (try to do one thing just be for me each day). The session in R's room Sunday morning was great. Fantastic ideas and I had one for getting guys on Senior Bachelor. It took guts to come to Chicago or MB and we all took a leap of faith. Some of us have a profile on line and instead of deleting the ones you don't feel fit, save them and direct them to senior bachelorette. It sounds like there is something in the works to accomodate this. Wouldn't it be great if all of us could help each other find our true love? There is someone for every person - what doesn't fit for me may fit for you. I already have one man ready to apply! We can screen them and only put in the cream of the crop - just like us...I see older people holding hands and I wonder "How did they find each other" They look so perfect together. We are all searching for that, and I for one will never give up.....Karen

Forgive if I have missed something, but I need to know how to contact Stuart re: the news release, I want to post our pic boarding the ship in the local newspapers and let singles in this area know about our senior adventure. (you made me look so important)!!!!!!

Richard do I need to get you to sign a release? Just kidding, I figure you wanted to be the "PosterBoy", if you didn't, it's too late!!!!

I thought I could say to go to the SeniorBachelor web site or e-mail me, if interested, but I wanted to see what you guys had sanctioned for being publisized!!!

Ya'll better get ready for lots of folks getting involved, 'cause if we do this all over the country, I'm talking about a revolution!!!!

Your going to have to quit your day job, Joe!!!!!!

If the news release does not say much about what this could mean for our generation, I will have to add this.

Any thoughts or feedback welcome!!

I pulled up in my car to the curb get my luggage and some photographer was taking a photo of a group of men that were wearing all white pants and some kind of burgundy colored tunics. They were posing in various ways under the "L", having a lot of fun, (and I always am attracted to fun) so I ran over with my camera and took a picture of them. I told them I had no idea what they were doing but it looked fun. I always carry a camera with me, wherever I go, for unexpected photos and have gotten some really good ones of great shots and several celebrities. Chicago is a wonderful place to witness collections of the most diverse people. But I guess that is anywhere.
Happy Birthday, Leslie!

Hugs,
Chandra

Hello to all,

CathyinCarolina: GO girl! Good for you with the publicity. I am starting with my company newsletter and when I get back from my National Parks Tour I will get ahold of local newspaper, which covers a huge area, and talk to my contacts at the paper. By then we will know the 12 gals and the story will even take on more meaning.
Such a group we are!......

Hugs,

Richard & Joe,
CathyinCarolina is right to ask if we can release any of those photos of you with each of the gals on the Odyssey or any of our personal photos? Can we have some kind of small article about the Chicago event that you can write up and email us a press release? That might work for us.
Then everyone would know that it would be permitted for publication.
We can always wait to talk about the future plans at which time you want to release that information.
Please let us know........

Hugs,
Chandra

Yikes! You all are way ahead of us! Give us a little time to get the press release materials to you to use for your local papers. That's a great idea you all came up with and we want to see it properly rolled out.

Thanks!

Gee, thanks everyone! I really didn't expect such a lot of good wishes for my birthday. You are all SO great. After sneaking out of the convention at noon, I went for a massage and now going to indulge myself in a nap with puppy Robbie :( - course I'd rather be cuddling someone else ;)

metalxmonkey aka Jaclyn aka daughter #2 is making me dinner tonight - the "famous" family macaroni & cheese recipe - which is requested by all family members for their birthday dinners (if home). All those carbs will put me to sleep early even with the nap. But, it's only once a year, right?

Well, off I go to the couch - to dream.

WOW 6 months ago, did any of us really ever realize what we were all getting into? It is even bigger and better today and who knows what will happen tomorrow.

Hi Joe,
Thanks so much, Joe, for the quick reply on any publicity for the SB because that's what we need to know before releasing any information.
You are our faithful caretaker and protector and crazy weed picker and honey doer. We love your attentiveness on the blog.
That should answer what we need to know. Thanks a bunch for your speedy reply.

Hi to Richard,Joe and "Roe fans" from your fellow Calif. Fan. Also, not being too computer sauvy, hope this isn't repeating myself. What a fabulous time meeting THE BACHELOR and his flock of chickadees, and ohhhhh what a flock we are. One great shot after another from Umberto as we all blew through the Windy city. The wedding on Sunday in the hotel was indeed a traditional Hindu one as the groom was led around the block on a decorated horse. He is an actor on the TV show "Srubs" as we were told by the Hilton staff. Another bonus to four days of great adventure and memories.Miss you all! Best of dreams,Lynn

Hey Everyone! Glad you liked Richard and 'The Senior Bachelorette' in the Wedding Crashers Trailer. At the end of the trailer - you can do your own! Just click 'Create your own trailer' - and it will take you through the process. You don't really have a choice about the hair and stuff - because it is in the little 'program'. You can choose different characters and type in the names that you want featured. It is pretty amazing how it is done. Try it ... and send to your friends. :)

So ... does anybody know who the three ladies are - that make up 'The Senior Bachelorette'? That was a collage of three faces! Ha Ha

HAPPY B'DAY LESLIE!! And a BELATED B'DAY TO CONNIE too!!

Have a good one, All!

Peace,

Hi Joe...
The audio on the Marilyn Monroe skit is much better thanks...
Paula, Cathy and the ladies came up with a very special surprise for Richard!

I've said it before and I'll say it again...I love the Richard Dummy in the suitcase ceated by Patty Crow. I for one would love to have a peek at her video. BRAVO PATTY!!!

Michelle
Good idea for Patty to make us each a Richard Doll. I can take mine to the beach with me to watch the beautiful sunsets! Wouldn't that be a hoot? Of course I'd rather take the "real Richard".

Shar
So nice to hear from you again...You've been missed...hey, am I a "pioneer"? Not sure if I fall in to that category...love the fact that you and Lois have the same pic posted on your blogs...I think it's great that the two of you have become fast friends. And thank you for the nice compliment on my blue dress...
Did I tell you that my nieces mother had it made for me in China? She lives in Harbin and I went to my nephews' wedding there in February of this year. I also have a picture on my blog wearing a beautiful green jacket she had made for me for the Chinese New Year...This is the year of the Rooster...any Roosters out there besides our Richard? :)
On my blog it says I am an Ox which is incorrect. I am the year of the Tiger like our Brenda...

Marty
I remember you from MB. We had breakfast together on Saturday morning...I enjoyed meeting you and another lady from Denver whose name I have forgotten. Have you heard from her? I was wondering if she remarks on the blog...

Linda in Tucson
Sorry about your "blackberry" whatever that is...I like blueberries myself. Just kidding. I know it wasn't funny when it happened...

Welcome home Merry Mary!
So glad to hear that you had a wonderful time in Chicago. You seem so positive and upbeat how can you NOT have fun? And by the way, thanks for giving Richard my hug and kiss...Let's see, that makes you, Rachel and I think Erika who did my "dirty work". Thanks to all of you...

CB
So nice to see your smiling face again..Looking forward to you catching up on the blogs as I always enjoy your comments.
Best Friends That's exactly the way I feel about my 4 children... daughter-in-law, son-in-law, girlfriend and boyfriend.
And my grandchildren are my ultimate pride and joy...

jerri from the other illinois
I use Picasa and Hello for my pictures and it's very easy to use. Just click on the ones you want and send them to your blogger. You have to set up your blog first though...which you may have already done?...

Mary r
Pink is your color...I love your new picture. I still say you look a lot like Linda Evans in a beautiful sort of way...I loved your audio and commented on your blog...

Leslie
I also listened to your audio and I want to wish you Happy Birthday one last time before I close for the night...

DEDICATED IN ALL GOOD HUMOR to Paula/Marilyn:

A Blonde Goes On Who Wants To Be A Millionaire-

Regis: "Barbara, you've done very well so far - $500,000 and one lifeline left -- phone a friend.

The next question will give you the top prize of One Million dollars if you get it right ... but if you get it wrong you will drop back to $32,000 -- are you ready?"

Barbara: "Sure, I'll have a go!"

Regis: "Which of the following birds does not build it's own nest?

Is it........

A-Robin

B-Sparrow

C-Cuckoo

D-Thrush

Remember Barbara its worth 1 Million dollars."

"I think I know who it..but I'm not 100%...

No, I haven't got a clue. I'd like to phone a friend Regis, just to be sure.

Regis: "Yes, who, Barbara, do you want to phone?

Barbara: "I'll phone my friend Maggie back home in Birmingham."

(ringing)

Maggie (also a blonde): "Hello..."

Regis: "Hello Maggie, its Regis here from Who Wants to be a Millionaire-I have Barbara here and she is doing really well on $500,000, but needs your help to be a Millionaire.

The next voice you hear will be Barbara's and she'll read you the question.

There are 4 possible answers and 1 correct answer and you have 30 seconds to answer -- fire away Barbara."

Barbara: "Maggie, which of the following birds does not build it's own nest? Is it:

A-Robin

B-Sparrow

C-Cuckoo

D-Thrush"

Maggie: "Oh Gees, Barbara that's simple.....It's a Cuckoo."

Barbara: "You think?"

Maggie: "I'm sure."

Barbara: " Thanks Maggie." (hangs up)

Regis: "Well, do you want to stick on $500,000 or play on for the Million, Barbara?"

Barbara: "I want to play, I'll go with C-Cuckoo"

Regis: "Is that your final answer?"

Barbara: "It is."

Regis: "Are you confident?"

Barbara: "Yes fairly, Maggie's a sound bet."

Regis: "Barbara.....you had $500,000 and you said C-Cuckoo ...you're right! - You have just won ONE MILLION DOLLARS.

Here is your check. You have been a great contestant and a real gambler. Audience please put your hands together for Barbara."

(clapping)

That night Barbara calls round to Maggie and brings her down to a local bar for a celebration drink and, as they are sipping their Champagne, Barbara turns to Maggie and asks "Tell me Maggie, How in God's name did you know that it was the Cuckoo that does not build its own nest?

Maggie: "Listen Barbara, everybody knows that a Cuckoo lives in a clock."

Good Morning Richard & Richard II,
here are a few jokes to start the day off with, hope you have a wonderful day.
*************

GRANDMA AND THE NUDIST COLONY

A man moves into a nudist colony. He receives a letter from his mother asking him to send her a current picture. Too embarrassed to let her know that he lives in a nudist colony, he cuts one in half and sends her the top part.

Later he receives another letter asking him to send a picture to his grandmother. The man cuts another picture in half, but accidentally sends the bottom half. He is really worried when he realizes that he sent the wrong part, but then remembers how bad his grandmother's eyesight is and hopes she won't notice.

A few weeks later he receives a letter from his grandmother. It says, "Thank you for the picture. Change your hair style? It makes your nose look too big."

*********************************

STICK IT

Two elderly women were eating breakfast in a restaurant one morning. Ethel noticed something funny about Mabel's ear and she said, "Mabel, did you know you've got a suppository in your left ear?"

Mabel answered, "I have? suppository?"

She pulled it out and stared at it. Then she said, "Ethel, I'm glad you saw this thing. Now I think I know where my hearing aid is.

**********************************

KNOCK ON WOOD

Three sisters ages 72, 74, and 76 live in a house together. One night the 76 year old draws a bath. She puts her foot in and pauses. She yells down the stairs "was I getting in or out of the bath?".

The 74 year old yells back "I don't know. I'll come up and see."

She starts up the stairs and pauses. Then she yells "was I going up the stairs or down?"

The 72 year old is sitting at the kitchen table having tea listening to her sisters. She shakes her head and says "I sure hope I never get that forgetful."

She knocks on wood for good measure. She then yells "I'll come up and help both of you as soon as I see who's at the door".

**********************************

To Dreamweaver:

Thank you for your very nice words on the previous blog...sweet of you to say so.

GROWING WILD

An elderly man really took care of his body. He lifted weights and jogged six miles every day. One morning he looked into the mirror, admiring his body, and noticed that he was suntanned all over with the exception of his manhood. So he decided to do something about that.

He went to the beach, undressed completely, and buried himself in the sand, except for his manhood, which he left sticking out of the sand.

A bit later, two little old ladies came strolling along the beach, one using a cane to help her get along. Upon seeing the thing sticking out of the sand, the lady with the cane began to move it around with her cane.

Remarking to the other little old lady, she said, "There really is no justice in the world."

The other little old lady asked, "What do you mean by that?"

The first little old lady replied, "Look at that. When I was 20, I was curious about it. When I was 30, I enjoyed it. When I was 40, I asked for it. When I was 50, I paid for it. When I was 60, I prayed for it. When I was 70, I forgot about it.

"Now that I'm 80, the darned things are growing wild.

**********************************

FLYING BACKWARDS

Two elderly gentlemen, who had been without sex for several years, decided they needed to visit a cat-house for some fun.

When they arrived, the madam took one look at them and decided she wasn't going to waste any of her girls on these two old men.

So she used "blow-up" dolls instead. She put the dolls in each man's room and left them to their business. After the two men were finished, they started walking home and began talking.

The first man said, "I think the girl I had was dead. She never moved, talked or even groaned. How was it for you?"

The second man replied, "I think mine was a witch. When I nibbled on her breast she farted and flew out the window!"

I'm new to this blog thingie but just wanted everyone to know I had an absolute WONDERFUL weekend in Chicago with all of the Senior Bachelor women! I am not in the running---so I only went in a supportive capacity with my friend (isn't that what friends are for?) and I must say we had a blast! There were women from every walk of life, and every imaginable shape, color and size...but the thing was, we were ALL part of a SISTERHOOD of women over 40. Our first morning (Fri)at the breakfast, we were sat down at a table with complete strangers and ended up becoming inseparatable the whole weekend! Every single woman was different but each one was beautiful, friendly and sexy! We had many first life experiences together---like touring Chicago on top of a double decker bus---eating at several famous Chicago restaurants---trying a dirty martini---just to name a few! I know no one is guaranteed tomorrow...but if I were to pass on today, I would ...extremely happy...and I just want to thank all of you who arranged the Chicago trip. It was great! Richard didn't make it great---the WOMEN made it great---Richard, Joe and Umberto were just the icing on the cake! We have GOT to do it again NEXT year!!! Love to all of you wonderful, friendly women---especially the ones who didn't try to hang all over and monopolize Richards time and try to jump in every single picture that was taken! Everyone was wonderful. Truly a once in a lifetime experience! Love to you All---and God Bless! ---Karen from KY

Good morning....Loved the jokes and before they nix them, I have a cute one. A man who was married to a younger woman made her promise that when he died, she would bury his money with him. She agreed and at the funeral, just as they were ready to close the casket, she moved forward and put a box in the casket. She sat back down and her girlfriend said "You didn't really bury his money, did you" She said "I'm a christian and I certainly did. I deposited his money in my account, wrote him a check, and if he can cash it, he can spend it!"Have a great day, I'm off to play golf....Karen

Dear Richard and Ladies,

Whow, what Fun, Frendship and Firsts!!!!

OH OH, Add ons to Fun, Fit, and Free. How many more can we think of?
Filmmakers,F-----,etc.

Watching and enjoying all these pictures, etc. reminds me of the little boy who went into the Post Office with his "Pop". He asked Pop, "What were all those pictures for?" Pop said "They were of people the police were trying to catch." Meson said "Why didn't they catch them when they took their pictures?"

Have a great day.

Indian-Hindu Wedding Joke:
-----
A Indian-Hindu gets married (at the Palmer House- and she's a virgin.
Truth be told, he is not too experienced either. On the wedding night, she cowers naked under the sheets as her husband undresses. He climbs in next to her and tries to be reassuring "My darring" he says, "I know dis yo firss time and you berry frighten. I pomise you, I give you anyting you want, I do anyting - juss anyting you want.. Whatchou want?" he says, trying to sound experienced, which he hopes will impress his virgin bride. A thoughtful silence follows and he waits patiently (and eagerly) for her request. She eventually replies shyly and unsure, "I want to try somethin I have heard about . numbaa 69". More thoughtful silence, this time from him. Eventually, in a puzzled tone he queries...

"You want... Chicken wiff broccori?"

Sorry, I couldn't pass up the chance to share! Have a great weekend everyone---Karen in KY

Great question!
I wrote it in my Planner.
I feel I will be writing more of them too.
The first thing I thought of was
Stop wars/fighting/crimes

But with in a few a few seconds my thoughts added:

Make everyone HAPPY

When I am happy, I don't bother anyone.

* The jokes today are extra good.

Without me going back in blogs and newsletters, can anyone tell me what were the dates for the 12 + gathering?

Thanks
Mary Rose

To The Tune of Roger Miller's
"King of the Road"

Where has our Richard went?
While we continue to vent
No Clues, No Shoes, No Pets
He aint smokin no cigarettes

I bet he's in a small room
Pickin ladies with some va va voom
He's a man who's tryin not to be mean
He's King of the Roed

(And now the bridge)
You know every woman down every lane
Is doin her best to not go insane
She's walkin, she's talkin, and eatin some chocolate
She's pining and whining and cleaning her plate

So she's not just sittin in her room
Sittin there and contemplating her doom
You see she's dreamin of a man who's hot and so lean
The King of the Roed
the king of the roed...repeat and fade out

Please take some liberty with the rhythms...lol Hope you like the little ditty above. I'm sure our Richard is away from the computer, away from the phone, and hopefully away from any other distractions so he can think and sort things out. Best wishes to you Richard!

Love to you all,
Lois
