A New Blog... A Volleyball Tournament and a Full Moon!
Hi Everyone, To prevent "scrollitis" here's a new blog. Just back from four days in Houston and New Orleans, and it was great. Man, it is hot there at this time of the year. It appears we will have a nice group for September 1 and 2, and that should be fun!! I'm really looking forward to meeting all of you and having you meet each other. One thing this experience is teaching me is how wonderfully supportive women are of each other. Remember to try and RSVP so we can plan accordingly. I just noticed the full moon tonight. So let the blogging rip, and have fun!! I've peeked at the other blogs and are blown away by how creative you are-- great work! Richard Roe P.S. Still working on Chicago for September 8, 9, and 10, but nothing definite yet. And don't forget to watch the AVP Manhattan Beach Volleyball Open starting today. They've switched the women's finals to Saturday on NBC. Keep an eye out for me and my friends in our Senior Bachelor T-shirts!

LET THE SHOW BEGINNING
hi richard,
you've posted this new blog twice.
Hi Richard Bet you're glad to be back near the ocean with the lovely breezes. I'm getting more and more excited about coming to MB - you're spoiling us! I feel like a star already what with the goody-bags you and the Spa have arranged for the ladies.
Remember, my package is supposed to arrive tomorrow, so get ready for a good laugh :D and lots of reading.
See you soon.
Leslie go look at my new blog site you will crack up.
Hello Richard,
Welcome home from your trip, cool off, get a cold drink, take a cold shower because the NNBBS is comin to getcha!!! Got my hotel resv. locked and loaded!!! Looking forward to an awesome weekend!
Desertflower, I will be happy to sing, dance, frolic with all of the Ladies. We will have the best time!
La Dolce Vida, Never you worry about what kind singing you do. I'm not the "Simon Cowell" type. My mother(God rest her soul)sang out in church even though she was a monotone(no sense of pitch whatsoever). I must say that I am adopted so I didn't inherit the monotone from my mom, but other useful things instead such as her independence and the will to try new things.
Sunni, I'm hanging out in your neck of the woods this week visiting friends in Vancouver, WA. Good luck on your date this evening!
Sing On Ladies and Richard, Make a joyful noise!! The world will be better for it!
Working at keeping the heart rate down until the appropriate time,

Even tho' you told Leslie, of course I had to go to your site, too! DesertFlowers, what are you doing?!?@^@!???? You are an amazing woman. But now you have inspired me to get off my duff and get a picture on my blog posting! I went to "Hello" and could not complete it. I will be home tmo (I am in SFO now, helping newly married daughter get organized....sigh! So when I get home I will try on my computer, again. Wow, computers are so frustrating. I know it is "pilot error", but still frustrating!
Coach BNDC can help you or Clickgirls has directions on one of her post. GO over there and look for the Italic print and you'll find it under Clickgirl.
I know I had trouble with it as well. I'm going to email Sunni and find out if she's coming, because I didnt' think she was.
Hi Richard, I sent my parcel to you today...you should receive it either Saturday or Monday. It was a yea or nay situation whether to send it or not; I was told not to be so critical and so I bit the bullet...so to speak...and mailed it.
The Sept. 1st and 2nd event will be great fun. Looking forward to meeting you and all the ladies!
Aloha Richard/Party Animal!
Phew a nice fresh start to a new Blog:) I am on my way to the first meeting with my Lawyer and then the meeting with him again plus insurance folks on September 1st whom I feel will 'grill' me, pull me over the hot coals:) but that is A ok because I will tell the truth and nothing but the truth...honesty the best policy!!!!

TO SUNNI,
We live minutes frm each other. I live in Sandy. I wonder how many other people are from OR. and don't use the Blog. I've not been a good blogger because I'm retired and not married to my computer anymore. It really gets annoying when I have to spend to much time with my squirrelly lap top. I will be going to MB and will take a lot picture and will share with you if you like.
Just returned from Sea Side with my grandkid(3,6,9) and daughter. To fun. It was sunny one day and misty the next but the kids didn't mind. Highlights were a live Crab on the beach, feeding the Seals & the 6yr old is big enough to ride the Bumper cars, wow was he excited.
RICHARD I'm mortified! I just posted the most horrendous pictures of me, because the gals were whining about the way they looked and I was just trying to make everyone feel better. Now you say you've peeked. OH MY GAWD!....I've got to remove those pictures. But alas I feel it is to late. LOL This is cracking me up.......I really clean up nicely and am a very sexy woman. Well guess you know what I'll be looking like in the mornings. LOL
Hugs Suzanne
DEAR RICHARD,
My video & bio should arrive by mail tomorrow :)...
I do hope someone will be there to sign for the box (Full Moon DELIVERY CONFIRMATION requested!), as I know that you and your pals will most likely be out enjoying the volleyball!!!

I'm sure we'll all be glued to our sets trying to
get a glimpse of you!!!
Cheers!!
Dear Richard and Friend,
Lake Shore Drive in Chicago also has a beach Vollyball area. In fact if you Bike, Blade, Run or walk the Lake Shore Trail you wil enjoy not only those games but the beautiful marinas, the Chess pavilions, the different meal smells from the various cultures cooking, the kites flying, both tipicial and untipicial beach activities, plus if you continue North towards but before where Oprah lives you will pass the beautiful bodies atop the breakes getting full tans. They pay no attention to watchers.
What is there to do around Manhatan Beach at night?
For those that might be interested, I'm hoping Manhatan Beach has some breeses because I am bring a good variety of kites to fly, (whether or not Richard tells me to "Go fly a kite!")
When is the last time any of you felt the feeling of being on the end of a 14 ft Delta, a beautiful 3 dimensional spinning 6 ft box, or had 3 "birds" flying off the same line. Come on, find me there and we will do it. (If there is a breeze)
I Can do the kite thing OK, now I'm going to try for a new picture on my Blog????
Love, Mary Rose

Great news! I just booked myself a cruise on the Mediterranean for Sept 16. Full moon over the Mediterranean...WOOOOO HOOOO!!!
I get a great last minute discount through my job. I'm taking my Auntie who also loves to travel.
Can't wait....had to share the good travelin newzz! (I get a little giddy when I'm going on a trip, don't mind me)
Italy, France, Mykonos and Santorini HERE I COME!!!
I will bring back some nice pictures to post (If I can figure it out by then?!) Ciao Bella for now my "love to travel" friends.
hi richard, ladies,
when senior bachelor first started, i casually read the newsletter when it came out, probably more out of curiosity (probably like some others) about the senior bachelor i had seen on oprah. then i really started looking forward to each new newsletter, enjoying the various articles of interest. then came the new blogsite, which i didn't click onto for some weeks. and now...
i feel like a blog junkie. i'm always reading the blogs on here and the other ladies' sites. i'm in the process of setting up my site, and am always going there to add something or learn how to do something new. it's addictive.
the other morning i looked at the clock, and it was after 4:00 am, and i was like, oh my gosh, i've been on the blogs all nite. i was reading all the way back to the initial blogsite u started.
i think i have it in control now. no really i do, but i felt like i was being drawn in like a zwilight zone or outer limits experience.
i wonder if anyone else felt like this when they first started blogging. well, i love the comraderie (sp?) on the blogs and will continue to read and enjoy and interject from time-to-time.
Good Morning Richard and Ladies,
Welcome home Richard; enjoy your weekend with Volleyball as I know you will. The full moon is fabulous. I have relished seeing it. From wherever in the world, they are awesome; the sugar moon is too. I am anxious to meet everyone the 1st and 2nd of Sept. as I have a reservation and plan to attend for sure. Consider this my RSVP. Happy trails to you and keep smilin always,
Ladejag :)

Heiress Child,
I know what you mean. I've been guilty of spending too much time too. (Gotta wean myself away) I'm trying not to go to the side blogs too much or I will never get anything done!
Worth repeating, in case, you missed it yesterday!!
Instructions for cleaning the toilet:
1. Lift the lid on the toilet and fill it with 1/8 cup of animal shampoo.
2. Take the cat in your arms and stroke it gently while slowly moving in the direction of the toilet.
3. At a suitable moment, throw the cat into the toilet bowl and close the lid quickly and either stand or sit on the lid.
4. The cat will now start the cleaning process and will produce generate plenty of foam. Do not be concerned about the loud noises coming from the toilet; your cat is enjoying himself.
5. After several minutes flush the toilet to start the “Power-wash” pre-wash and then flush again for the main wash cycle.
6. Ask someone to open the front door and ensure that no-one is between the toilet and the front door.
7. Get off the toilet seat and from a safe distance open the toilet lid quickly. The cat will dry off naturally due to the high speed he will be moving from the toilet to the front door.
8. The toilet and the cat are now both clean.
With best wishes,
The Dog
Dear Friends,
3 hours later I have to stop this Blog frustration, trying to get pictures where I want them etc. and still don't have it right???
Dang, what am I going to do without all this process? The new Ladies coming aboard have missed all this FUN?.
I do think that we "committed is a word we share" have an advantage thought because Richard has some "History" with us.
Have a great day? They say we can get more done in a day if we do it as if we were leaving for vacation tomorrow.
Fun time begins, and it isn't on this computer
Mary Rose
Heiresschild: Yes, this can be addicting but as addictions go, I do think it's a pretty harmless one!
Hi Richard and Ladies,
Welcome home Richard. Forest Hills you crack me up. I almost peed myself on your toilet cleaning routine. Can I please do that to my daughters cat next month when they move in? We will just watch Jasper jump off the balcony. No harm done.
Have an awesome weekend everyone, I know I will. My sons 27th birthday is Monday, so I have alot of plans with he and his wife.
Next week I meet up in Orlando with another bloggette and her daughter. My daughter and I are going to show them a great time. Our girls are 2 years apart.
And a big THANK YOU to Richard for letting all us ladies to get to know you and each other. What a blessing.
Carol/ aka travelin
Forest Hills Gosh that is really the worse joke I've ever read. Not funny at all, not even the first time you posted it. Very offensive. Don't mean to be cruel, but ........
anonymous, lighten up. it's only a joke.
OR IS IT? lol,lol,lol
Thank you Anon....That is babbling and babbling in an incomprehensible fashion. It's all kinda off the topic of Love and Romance, which is what I was looking for on this blog. How do we attact a more dedicated group to this subject? Richard...we need some good starters. The full moon was good, what's next?
You're probably answering yourself anon pretending to be another anon.
If you do not like what is on these blogs, go somewhere else.
I have been on a island in Canada with almost no communication with the outside world for over a week-There is no way I can catch up on all of the blogs-life does have other requirements.
I live in Orlando-Carol and Dolce-if there is someway for me to contact you, I would like to show you some of the rest of Orlando.
I am vacillating on the video-I made one and immediately taped over it. I don't see how Paris Hilton does that so easily. And I was just talking on mine, maybe that is my problem.
Richard-where does it say you cannot profit from this-This is your game and the rules are yours-the last I heard noone is being forced to participate. The MB trip sounds great-but I just returned and have another trip the end of Sept., also Sept 2 is my birthday and it would be really embarrassing to leave every one when you took my out to celebrate.
Would appreciate other comments about videos.
Hello Richard and fellow bloggers.
I don't get on the blog site everyday, but I do like to make a comment, or comment occasionally.
Richard, I watched POP & Me last Sunday, I really enjoyed it. I truly believe it is hard for some fathers to show emotion and to verbally say I love you to their sons and daughters. I could see in the movie how hard it was for the one father to verbally let his son know he loved and cherished him, it took him awhile, but he did eventually get it out. You could see in his eyes his deep love for his son. This man somewhat reminded me of my father, even though I knew he loved me, it was hard for him to say it. I found much later on in life that if I told him I loved him, he in turn told me he loved me.
I really enjoyed the interview with Julian Lennon. I grew up a Beatle's fan in the 60's.
Well folks, just wanted to throw this in . . . FOREST HILLS . . .
I DO LOVE ANIMALS, especially CATS . . . that joke that I read earlier . ....WELLLLLLL ....BY GOLLY ... I thought IT WAS DARN GOOD AND FUNNY. ... it sure was a good laugh after a long day's work.
Since this is probably only the third time I have BLOGGED I would like to make a comment about what ANON said about getting more serious on this BLOG .... since I am not a regular I believe I can do that ....
As I do not BLOG very much, I would like to say that the REGULAR BLOGGERS sound real serious to me, they sound like a great bunch of WOMEN. Anon, please come on and lighten up a bit.
Ladies, I have viewed some of your Blog sights and I love them, especially the pictures you share.
Linda in Tucson, many of my love ones have had, or are having problems with additions, I have sent one of them to your web site and she is going to order your product. Thank you for your insight and knowledge that you share on your web sight.
One last comment, this one is for Richard. While watching Pop & Me, I found I do love the sound of your voice, what can I say, you've got a neat voice.
Best Regards, Fran (in the northeast)
Hello Richard & ladies,
I, too, just watched Pop & Me and found it extremely thought provoking and creative. Working while playing. Time well spent and I'm sure that it will be a lasting memory for both of you and all the fathers and sons whose lives you touched.
Let's hope that many of the bloggers get to meet in Chicago when we find out more details. I will be coming from 45 miles North of the city. Anyone else from up this way?
Hugs,
Chandra
Hey Everyone
wey hey ........ god I go missing for a few days and I come back and scroll n scroll etc and looks like I'm on a WANTED poster in some part of the wild west *LOL*.
Ok .... whatever it is, I didn't do it, say it, know nothing about it, don't know anyone who knows anything!!!!!!!!!
Oh and I definitely didn't discover the 'spot' cream so if it didn't work ..... don't call me!!!! right!
Suzanne ....... will email you ... *shaking wondering what you want to discuss with me that's so private*.
Suzan ... have been meaning to download Skype. Apparently its great and its FREEEEEE.
Hey babes ... shhh but somebody didn't like your joke on the loo cleaning process ...... I thought it was hilarious ;).
Richard: how unfortunate that you didn't give more notice of the MB event .... I probably could have come but other stuff planned now. Like CB I'm miffed about missing out on the goodies :(.
Ha ha ... told you guys that someone would check out the other blogs ...... la la la la ....
BTW the hotel looks fantastic. How far is MB from Santa Monica?? I loved that place when I was there in 2000 ......... ahhhhhhhhh memories :)
Ciao ...... Phyl
p.s. I promise I will do a blogger name/thingy/page even. Just have a lot of stuff going on at the moment and can't seem to concentrate on that particular issue.
Suzan
Don't change your pic .. I think its great :).
Chandra,
I'm in the northern suburbs. How do I get in touch with you? When I double click on your name, I get a blog site, but don't know where to go from there!
Hi everyone,
I am back from car shopping with my oldest and his wife. He now has the car he wants, I am poorer again, and all this on an empty stomach. Next was the grocery store which took forever for tomorrows festivities on the beach. We loaded all non parishables in my SUV, and then I went grocery shopping for cake and other fun stuff. He is having dinner with my ex and his girlfriend tonight.
To deebee: please e-mail me at carolannguzik@mac.com. My daughter and I are entertaining our visiting blogette on Wednesday, Disney park hopping. You are more than welcome to join us. I am a little short on tickets, due to dropping my Disney cast status. But trust me, we will have fun. But a park hopper is a must. Alot of my friends are doing the AK Jammin Jungle parade on Wednesday at 4 pm. So we will have alot of attention paid to our location And my favorite ending to a Disney day is at Epcot. Gives me goosebumps.
I will send you my cell #. But not on an open Blog.
I have to go now. A friend of mine just called and wants to go for a bike ride. Like motorcycle. And I am a big time bike lover. And he knows how much I need to unwind.
I am getting invaded by my boys at 7 am , so we can go reserve our beach site.
A state park, my son insists on. A real beach BBQ. And dealing with my ex and his latest girlfriend who insists on attending. I just want peace, and to be left alone. I bought lots of fun beach toys, so I will just go play with some of my daughter in laws cousins. They love me. He has to leave early.
Cut me a break please someone. Some times we still have issues, no matter how long ago we are apart.
But nothing will ruin my sons birthday party. And he is 27 in Monday. How did our children get so old, yet we stay so young?
I will be in Orlando from Tuesday thru Friday. I have some Central Florida business to finish up. And I haven't seen my daughter since April. She had her MCATS today, she is so glad it's over. She felt good about them. I will take that.
I am off to go bike riding on a nice full moon night in South Florida. Fun times.
Have an awesome night everyone.
Carol / aka travelin
To our non joke lover: Lighten up. >my daughters cat pees on your furniture if he doesn't like you or gets mad. That joke is funny. I have shower curtains under all my furnitures covers. Cheap fix.
Carol
Carol,
Thanks for the reply and you can email me at chandra12@aol.com.
