New Newsletter Going out Today- August 9!
Ladies,
You may be very interested in today's Senior Bachelor Newsletter. Many questions are answered and I've updated information about the Search. My goodness, not enough time in the day!!!! Here is a snippet:
"I have been asked, very frequently, for specific characteristics in a woman that I feel would make for the best partners. Do I like blondes, brunettes, or redheads? Do I prefer tall or short women? Does the woman have to be white? Does the woman have to be a certain religion?
Hair color or style is not an important factor at all as far as I am concerned. A woman in between 5 feet and 6 feet works fine for me. I am unconcerned with a woman's color or religion. I have been asked what is my description of "fit." To me this means being able to be busy all day, whether it be wandering around a jungle, hiking, swimming, boating, racing from one form of transportation to another, and the like. I mentioned earlier in this Newsletter that I hope I am fit enough to travel as I have in the past. To that extent I am "in training" and hope to be in the best physical shape I can be when the journey begins. The short answer to a description of "fit" is being able to be on the go 12 hours a day under challenging circumstances."
Ciao. RR
PS- Several Newsletter subscribers are saying they are not getting the Newsletter. Check your email service and see if it is routing it to your "junk" or "spam" mail inbox. If you find it there, there should be a way to "add" the email address to your allowed email list. Thanks.
PPS- Of course, your comments are always welcome on the blog!

Good afternoon Richard,
Your description of "fit" is exactly what I thought it would be. I do consider myself to be in this category. I can sometimes run circles around my two daughters who are in their thirties. Well, actually only one of them, because the other plays league soccer at 34! (guess she gets her energy from mom). Or it could be our dutch genes? I'm glad to hear that you have such a broad, open mind about who may be chosen to travel with you. I do hope the person you choose is active and lots of fun to be with!
Am I first to respond today? WOW!
Hey Richard....
There seems to be a problem with your link to sign up for the "new" newsletter..........when one goes in to register: your name ,address, phone number ,zip and email all show up on the screen!! Plus if one tries to overwrite it...no can do, it will not submit!!
Just thought this might be a "great" to know!
Dear Richand,
Not meant to be anything but a compliment, But now you are talking, well--actually WRITING!!! This letter is by far the best you have written. I took an extra shift last night cause they were so short and I had nothing better to do. I know I had to be there today at 8AM anyway to teach a New Employee short 4 hour class, so I just worked my 12 and stayed on. It is so exciting to have all your new info to ponder as I fix and eat something serious. (I hate going to resturants alone.)
There just can't even be any complaints from the other bloggers this time. GREAT! (and you know it is,tooYou knew what you were doing before you ever asked usfrom all of your past experiences, but thanks for asking us anyway.
Hugs,
Mary Rose
P.S. Lets hope you have enough info to make your decision before the price of Post Cards goes up again. :-)
Gee, I, too, am having difficulty accessing the new cruise newsletter. Would love to sign up and will try again later. Thanks, Richard, for getting this going.
P.S. P.S. Richard and Friends,
I little food revives my thinking.
This whole SEARCH for Romance and Adventure reminds me of the 5 stages of a Female's Life:
1st: Growing up
2nd: Filling in
3rd: Slimming down
4th: Holding it in
AND 5
To H--- with it. HAVE FUN!

Re: Signing up for the new Senior Bachelor Cruise Newsletter.
Thank you for bringing the problem to my attention. Wow, you ladies are right on the ball! I got out the newsletter, went to lunch and all heck broke loose! I'm working on a fix right now. I'll probably send out a corrected newsletter and and post something on the blog as well. Ain't technology grand!
Sincerely, thanks for your help! RR
Bravo Richard,
A fine Newsletter; answers, compliments to the ladies and all.
Ending in an exciting day in Vietnam....makes me want to trapse around the world with you.
Now where is that camera?
OOOOXOXOOO

Richard:
Just wanted to apologize for any questions I asked that may have seemed insensitive regarding your folks...I have not seen Pop&Me, and so I was unaware that you lost both parents at a young age...WOW, THAT HURTS!! I pray that you will meet someone that will fill that hole in your life and make you feel safe and loved always...
Peace,
CJ
Ladies,
May I ask you help in testing the corrections to the SB Cruise Newsletter Signup. Could some of you please go to the first Newsletter I sent today and follow these directions and see if it works for the email address you use to receive the SB Newsletter. Please post your test results on the blog. Thanks so much!
1. Near the very bottom of the Newsletter (below the blue border) on the left side is a link highlighted in blue called "Update
Profile/Email Address." Click on that link.
2. A new screen will pop up called the Senior Bachelor Free Newsletter Registration. If you have a pop up blocker you may have to disable it to make it work.
3. On the left side of this page in the middle you will see the words "Your Interests:" The "Senior Bachelor Search and Journey" is already checked. Let it remain checked.
4. To subscribe to the new Senior Bachelor Cruise Newsletter, please check the "Cruises" box.
5. At the bottom of the page, click on the "Submit" button. (Note: You may be asked to re-enter your email address for verification. Do so if asked and click on "Submit" again.)
You will now automatically receive the next special Senior Bachelor Cruise Newsletter! Thanks!
Hi Richard, I got as far as "submit" but when I clicked on that, it came up as "page cannot be displayed" - I'll try again later.

Richard -
It worked fine for me! Thanks for the new directions!
RR-- Could you possibly add a link on this site to the Cruise Newsletter? Mine isn't working either.

Bada Bing..we have lift off!!!!
SUCCESS! Great feeling to be lord and master of the Tech Wizards!
Yah!

Richard and Friends,
Going way to the far bottom small print, finding Update--- as you said, fixed it. Thanks.
With my lingering thoughts about the pigs on the back of motor bikes,---
How many animals can we fit in a pair of pantyhose?
10 little piggies, 2 calves, 1 ass, and an unknown # of hares.
I'm already on the "naught girl" stool.:-( Sorry.
Mary Rose
Ladies,
I'm told the only way to get on the list for the Senior Bachelor Cruise Newsletter is by using the "Update Profile/Email Address" link on any Newsletter I send (or have sent) to you. When you click on that link, the system knows it is you and changes your preferences for other newsletters, etc.
Perhaps what you can try is closing out all of your browser windows and starting over. Somebody told me the computer keeps things in a special memory area and the only way to clear it is to close the browsers.
Sorry for the bother and thanks so much for taking the time to help me with this glitch. RR
PS- Thanks for the positive comments on this week's Newsletter!!!
THANKS for the new newsletter, Richard! SUCCESS! GAWD - I'd hate to miss an opportunity for a cruise! Looking forward to more info on that part of the Search for Romance and Adventure. Also, lots of great info in the newsletter. Thanks again.
Great Newsletter!
Excited about the Cruise Newsletter.
New sign-up instructions worked for me.
Sean Connery I mean Richard (you could be his double) and Fellow Blogger's,
I just finished viewing Pop&Me. Do you realize how fortunate you are to have three lovely sons! To see a father and son embrace the way you did with your three son was quite touching.
I think every father and son should view this video, and together if possible.
My father has just two girls and we have become closer in the later part of our lives. We always hugged and kissed as fathers and daughters do, and said "I love you", but I always wondered what it would have been like for dad to have a son.
He always took us camping, lake, ocean fishing, abalone diving (he dove, we were too young) but we got caught up in the excitement when dad would put on his wet suit at 5am, take a shot of whiskey, give a loud hoot and take off with his tool and bag. We waited in the warm trailer for him to return with his catch. He'd be so happy and his happiness was contagious.
I want to share Pop&Me with my three sons. It will be one of the gifts they shall receive in their Christmas stockings this year because I was so impressed. Not so much by the travel and scenery, but by the love, warmth, and male emotion and bonding.
I can't believe that you and Chris were busted for jumping around and karating chopping each other while on the bed, and then the sssshhhh thing. Something I could see my sons (my daughters too) doing.
It is a difficult time when your children leave home for the first time. It feels as though you've lost a limb and you have to retrain your body to funtion without it IMHO.
The scene at the beach the sun going down, yours and Chris' arms around one anothers backs. Meeting up with Gaby and Richard. Every minute wonderful (except for the hog butchering!!!)
All of your sons have such warm smiles and you can see the child in the adult through their eyes (you too, Richard).
One thing I do disagree with you about however. Getting old does not suck, getting old alone does though. But I'm still 49 (for 8 more days) and I don't think I'll be alone for the rest of my life. But I am certainly going to be very selective of who I want to be with.
So in closing (with the aforementioned topic) Richard you are so comfortable with your sons and it is truly quite lovely.
Now new topic. I have not traveled the world. I've been to Mexico (cruise, three ports-of-call), Hawaii a few other states of the union. And does traveling around to Colorado to follow my daughters collegiate b-ball games; Texas to see my sons collegiate football games count as making me a worldly traveler?
BTW, my daughter who lives in Denver is a triathelte. This week-end she placed 138 out of 2,000 and ranked in the top 7% in a triathalon. She and her sister can kick a** on the v-ball court.
I played softball up until a few years ago (outfield). I knew how to back-up the infield. If I don't make the cut can you put me on the back-up list for your travel companion choices *grin*. Golf is a sport I now enjoy, but haven't played much lately.
Well I did go on just a bit! Saawwweee.
PS I'd bungee jump, but only if we were set-up the way you and Chris were *another grin and a wink*. BTW great teeth. I'm a teeth and eye woman, first things I look at in a person (male or female). Then nails, must be clean!!!
Bye-bye now.
desertflowers - your comments toward the end of the last blog really touch the heart. I'm just all warm and mushy inside now!!
Forest Hills - thanks for sharing the web site. Will have to get my techie mother to talk me thru that!
Oh, someone else said something great but I'm suffering from brain fog right now and can't recall! Another day.
Another great Newsletter. I really love those vivid descriptions that put you 'right there', when you can 'see' the picture without the photo. Thanks so much for sharing.

richard,
the new instructions worked perfectly. when i clicked on the "update" link at the bottom, the screen came up to my personal page with all of my info on it, which was good because i needed to make a couple of corrections. i checked the "cruise" box and am set. thanx.
Aloha Richard/Ricardo!
What an exciting Newsletter today and the idea to have a seperate Newsletter pertaining solely to the upcoming cruises, as you so aptly put it Quote: "Love Boat Cruise next Summer" Unquote
I am so looking forward to the cruise next Summer be it the Alaskan, Hawaiian or Greek Islands Cruise. I must admit I am not 'super fit' but walk to and from both workplaces everyday...morning shift...home for a 3 hour break then the evening shift, I try to keep a brisk walking pace and can feel it becoming increasingly easier one day at a time! The only problem is when Winter sets in and the walkways are icy, it is treacherous to walk and extremely dangerous, so I lose a lot of walking time during the Winter months here in Toronto November to March, sometimes through to April...brrrr hate the Winters:)here. When I lived in Vancouver and Victoria Island I could walk every day 24/7 rain or shine! Not to mention South Africa...oh do I miss that beautiful climate!!!!!
To remain on a positive note, there is a lot to look forward to and Toronto is definitely a 'pit stop' :) even though I have lived here for the longest stretch (15 years) since arriving in Canada 1978!
By the way I love Ancient History and when travelling to distant lands it is fascinating to explore the ancient stories and culture attached to each place...Peru/The Incas....Guatemala/Mayans...Greece....Rome...Hawaii etc.....the people/storytellers....love to listen to the stories passed down from generation to generation!
Here's to Romance and Adventure for the 'Young At Heart'

Toronto (great cultural paradise). I had the opportunity to visit Toronto twice and Victoria Island on the West side as well (Buschart Gardens) and Tea at the Empress I remember fondly.
Thanks for the memories.
Richard,
You never cease to amaze me with your attentiveness to "fixing" things and keeping us informed such as the description of being fit.
Upon logging into the Blog, I was also surprised to learn one can post a photo by logging into the blogger and adding an URL address.
For an senior, you're pretty high tech!
Ladies & Richard - just to let you know that Victoria is a city on Vancouver Island. It is the capital of British Columbia. Vancouver is a city on the mainland coast and the 3rd largest city in Canada. Vancouver and Victoria are both beautiful cities with a very lovely climate. If you hear about it raining around here ALL winter, it means there's a heavy mist - NOT rain like in other areas of Canada or the USA - I know, having lived in Ottawa and REALLY experienced what rain is! It seldom snows here because we are sheltered by the Strait of Georgia and the Coastal Range mountains. The weather is often likened to that of San Francisco. Who would like to come and visit? Would love to meet any/all of you wonderful ladies.
PS - you, too, Richard. ;)
All right, Ladies, I think we are good to go with the instructions for signing up for the Senior Bachelor Cruise Newsletter. Thanks to everyone for trying it out and reporting back. Technology can be helpful and frustrating all at the same time.
Please start thinking of ways we can reach out to men to participate in the Senior Bachelor Adventure- particularly the Senior Bachelor/ette Cruise. What I hope to show them is that there are so many wonderful and exciting older women they can enjoy meeting- whether it is online or in person.
Someone mentioned in a blog a long time ago about seeing so many thousands of motorcycle riders going to a big meeting (in South Dakota?) Can you imagine the same sort of meeting for us single Seniors?! Sort of a Senior Woodstock (but cavorting on a ship or a resort instead of the mud)! I think we have a very good start here...
Oh Richard! Please take out the word "older." We do not consider ourselves old. We are wonderful, exciting, vibrant, intelligent, beautiful, sexy, magnificent, radiant,adventurous...you get the drift. Thx.
Hello Richard,
I can relate to your story about the unusual things transported on motorbikes in Vietnam. I lived in Seoul, South Korea for 2 years and I witnessed someone hauling a 20 foot palm tree on his moped! You should have seen him turn the corners...I learned how to ride the subways to get around because traffic was so crazy...In the USA and most other countries, we stay between the lines on the road. If there are 4 lanes, we see 4 cars across. Well, not so in Korea...if they can fit 7 cars in and between those lanes, they will, and the person in front always has the right of way...so, of course everyone wants to be up front. Don't get me wrong, I love Korea and the Korean people are some of the most gracious people I have ever met. The memories will be with me for the rest of my life.
I learned to drive as a teenager in the Los Angeles area and used to complain about the traffic there. I vowed never to complain again after travelling the highways and byways of Korea and China.
Good night to all...
It's me again...
Since you asked Richard, an idea of how to reach other senior bachelors who might be interested in the cruise idea. Maybe through Oprah? It certainly worked in reaching out to the bachelorettes.
Good night again...
Good night dear Richard
Step right up, come on in……
Dark skin in linen, perfume on my wrist
Restless hearts, sleep alone tonight
I am forever yours faithfully.
These dreams are only when I close my eyes
Every second of the night, I live another life
Every moment of the way, I further run away
There is someone out there I can’t resist
I have been thinking about you baby
I want to taste your lips,
Funny how in dreams, your feet never touch the earth
Sweet dreams go on when I close my eyes.
Every second of the night, I live another life
Now in dreams I believe, I’ll hold you in my arms and never let go
I’d surrender everything to feel the chance to live again in a journey of discovery
I am forever yours, faithfully....
The new instructions worked perfectly. when I clicked on the "update" link at the bottom....
Leslie: I wish I could be there tomorrow!! I LOVE VICTORIA!! I had my wedding reception on a yacht docked in front of the Empress Hotel and the Parliament building was all lit up with twinkle lites....Do you think they were just for me, or are they always there??? It is fum trying toftry new fods!! Biked allover Victoria and I love the four story museum!! It is so awesome to go from one floor that features displays of clothes and gadgets from different decades and generations, and then go up or down a couple of floors to see and hear seals with an appropriate n O carol Peace and Blessings
Richard,
The big motorcycle convention in South Dakota is in Sturgess. You can cross the street walking across the many, many mortorcycles. But I wouldn't advise that!
Just an FYI.

Hello Dreamweaver
What a great choice of name...
I also love to listen to storytellers....and like yourself enjoy listening to the stories passed down from yesteryear!

Hello Richard
Love to read your news letters....
I am very surprised at how well you are at writing them ....hard to believe you are new to all of this....keep up the good work...
The GoldStar motorcycles I talked about took place on the Cherokee reservation in North Carolina. LoL

oops the Goldstar convention
Hello Richard, and the lovely Ladies of the Fog, oops Blog...lol,
First of all to the Ladies who commented on my suggestion to talk about fitness, thank you for your kind remarks, the great examples of your fitness, and all the great quotes! Wow,I was blown away by you all, thanks so much!!! I had a good meeting with a Wellness Coach at the Y, I did some work on the legs with the machines. I was encouraged that my legs are still quite strong. I also found out about some good ways to do cardio in the pool. I've made a good start today and am satisfied...:)
Richard, thank you for the very informative newsletter! My "cruise connection" worked just fine, I read your correction newsletter first actually. Thank you also for taking on the fitness topic along with other topics from the Blog. I am also "in training" so I can be in the best shape I can be for my 30 year high school reunion, the Journey with you, and the upcoming opera season, in that order. Oh, and Richard, I found it amusing in your travels in Vietnam that the pigs had "paws". I was raised on a ranch and the pigs I remember had "hooves"....lol.
A couple of my own quotes for the Journey: "A Sense of Humor, Don't leave home without it"
"Heaven ain't for Wimps"...whatever your idea of heaven is.
You all are a blessing to me....:)
The Operawench
good Morning,Richard-just thinking about the way to get the news out to-"mature Men",interested in the journey of a Cruise-how about "the Today"show-I am sure they would love to interview you, they might even ask how your Quest is coming...(afterall it is NBC)same as "Oprah"...
Take out an ads in the AARP magazine, travel agencies, LA, NY Times, local radio stations.
What cruise line will be used? It probably states this info in your newsletter but I'm too lazy to look, and for me its not my thang. I'm not interested in the cruise thingy (that's just me......simmer down whomever came up with the idea, its great).
DE
CJ - You are too cute! Yes, the Parliament Buildings in Victoria were lit up just for you - yes, really!!
Zoe
If every Bachelorette would/could invite a Bachelor (brother, friend, cousin, co-worker) on the cruise -- with a discount price as incentive)-- perhaps that would help. My experience -- there are more Bachelorettes than Bachelors that would go for this venture, because UNFORTUNATELY the guys this age think they want younger women. They are SO missing out.....
Oprah is on ABC, in my neck of the woods, anyway.
I checked Oprah's site, and it seems the show's on the ABC network, judging from the local listings in California and New York. But I did think I heard today that she'd be joining NBC in the fall? Did anyone else hear that, too?
Suzan
The Oprah Winfrey Show is "syndicated" which means whichever network pays the most money for an area gets to show it. As a result, TOWS is on NBC, CBS, and ABC, depending on the area where you live.... Thanks for your suggestions on the blog for yesterday's Newsletter. As you read, many of your questions were answered. By now, I think you know that most all of the questions you have will be answered at the appropriate time. Sometimes there are very good reasons for not answering some quesries at a particular time. I am pleased so many wonderful ladies have made new friends through the blog. That's really great!!! Again my thanks to the blog for starting the ball rolling re cruises. The number of people who have signed up for the Special Cruise Newsletters was amazing. I sure see lots of fun on these cruises, and yes, a challenge will be to get more men!!!I just had an idea, so let's try it out here. What if I asked all of the ladies on the regular Newsletter list to think of one man to have sign up for the Cruise Newsletters??? They're free, and no one else will ever see any names for a spam list, and this way we can get more men!! Just an idea. I'd love to hear your valuable feedback via this blog. Thanks for all of your help. Most sincerely, Richard Roe
Although I signed up for the cruise newsletter, I won't even consider going on such a cruise because (1) I don't like huge cruise ships ... much prefer very small >60-passenger boats, and (2) my previous experience with a "senior" cruise was disastrous and hilarious at the same time!
A few years ago a friend and I went on a Windjammer "senior singles" cruise which promised an equal number of men and women. They did keep their promise. With only a very few exceptions the women were vibrant, fit, and attractive, but the large majority of men could barely move around, either because of poor health or alcoholism!!
As CC said (and I've said it before in a previous blog) - any healthy, fit men who would go on such a cruise are looking for much younger women than I! Doesn't keep me from still dreaming optimistically, though!
Ciao ....
RR
I can count on one hand how many guys i know and they are all taken. If one of your guy friends like redhead, please ask them to contact me. :-) You didn't seem to like my hair, maybe one of your friends will like it... huh? ;-)
Have a great day !
Dear Richard and Friends,
So many thoughts:
1st is -- let's get more single Gentleman on the cruise??? Great!!!But if I knew a lot of them to choose from, with active lifestyles and attitudes like ours, I wouldn't be on this Blog.
I have already mentioned this activity to my male and female friends as I will the cruise. Everything seems to come right back to each of our desires and what we will do to achieve them.
A lingering Maintenance Perscription from theGood Old Days: A good wife and good health are a man's best friend.??
Us singles are doing more then just limping along thanks to the help of so many good friends. (I love to dance, but don't Line dance. I prefer a man to start my engine. I prefer a gentleman's company in so many activities, not because I won't try/do them without a man, but BECAUSE the LIKE MINDED man makes that Activity/Process/Whatever better. I don't alway get what I prefer, but will continue until I do or change my mind.
Like I have said, us ladies prove we already have the Cake. Men,like you, Richard, are the icing and a whole new presentation.
From my experience, the first thing so many men work towards, some more openly then others is: "Lets go to bed. We won't do anythig you aren't comfortable with." That of course starts a whole new Adventure.
I am glad to be part of this wonderful active growing group enjoying life's Buffet of People, Places and things with FIT Attitudes. The hardships just seem to be obsticles to get around.
I am glad to be old enough to have had enough experences to teach me what I know today. Often when I am with youngsters, I know I have survived what they still have to go through.
Part of what I started to say is that because we want our dreams to come true, we aren't over sleeping as so many mature males do.
It seems we 1st make our habits then our habits make us.
Life is short but it's the longest thing we get to do.
I love this Adventure and it's opportunities!!!!
(Cuddling isn't an Adventure.It's a Pleasure.)
The time I spend on this Blog???? Gosh!!!
I have more things to do today then I can possible get done. I'm out for the day.
Is it Sept 16th yet????
Love you all.
Mary Rose
UUUMMMMM........what if you get creepy men? (k, there are creepy women too).
I've stated in prior posts I am not interested in the cruising thing but yikes (not to think negatively) there are some FREAKS out there, and to be confined on a ship with a few of them could blow what could be a fun vacation. Is this ging to be a floating meat market? Overall, intentions are good I suppose, if you're into this sort of adventure.
Would there be some sort of screening before they sign up and pay?
Would you handle it like one of the other national cruise company's? Just curious.
DE
Maybe one of our "own" fantastic women can be used in an auxilliary blogsite addressed to "senior men looking for senior women."
Could be interesting.
DF
Dear Richard and Friends,
Guess I am almost out of here. I updated myself which meant I got to read Richard's blog that posted while I was writing.
I have personally wondered why men haven't been monitoring us or are they??
The one that took a leap and went on found what he wanted???
Maybe a Guy's sign up spot.
Where is a good balance??
Sometimes I question my own single minded focus, but it has proved successful for me in the past and at least doesn"t dilute my efforts.
Que sera,que sera.
Love
Mary Rose
PS, I just got to rinse my hair under the down spout. What a treat. We seldom get daytime rain here in Arizona. I wonder if I would have been as comfortable doing that if there had been a man around???

RICHARD, CJ:
Does anyone know, offhand, what the demographics of Oprah's audience is? My idea would be to have "our" Richard of course back on the show for an "update", and at that time bring up the cruise concept. Then appeal to all those women watching who have what they believe to be an eligible brother, brother-in-law, father, cousin. Also appeal to some of our ladies who are keen on the cruise to offer their family and friends, and their http://....blogspot.com site for a "look-see" for the potential bachelors.
I believe this would be a good time to set up a separate Blog site, a venue dedicated to the healthy exchange between potential "cruise mates" (pardon the pun!)on who they are, what they enjoy in the opposite sex, etc. Something that you, RR, wouldn't necessarily have to monitor (delegate!).
Word of mouth, Oprah, Today, heck, even "Squawk Box" or MSNBC might plug it, and a lot of intelligent, active men watch that!
My 2 cents-worth!
Suzan
Some thoughts for cruise publicity......men on board........
Good Morning America
Today
Leno
Letterman
The men I know watch early morning and late TV only.
The motorcycle arrival was not one of the better ideas (from my perspective only) depending upon where the cruise begins, of course.
Dear Bloggettes and Richard........
I would love to share the following documented results of highly important, extremely useful and incredibley significant medical data that has been backed by substantial scientific evidence. I found this data in my "inbox" this AM
This is restricted to audiences over a "certain age" only...you may want to activate your "censor" button....... this could very possibly either be deleted or I may be banished for life to the infamous naughty mat....but I found it so fun and worth sharing that I thought I would give it a try!! Sooooo here goes ....enjoy!!
This is hilarious! Be sure to read the warning at the bottom. I didn't change a word! I'm not messing with the Sex Fairy!
1. Sex is a beauty treatment. Scientific tests find that
when women make love they produce amounts of the hormone estrogen, which makes hair shine and skin smooth.
2. Gentle, relaxed lovemaking reduces your chances of suffering dermatitis, skin rashes and blemishes. The sweat produced
cleanses the pores and makes your skin glow.
3. Lovemaking can burn up those calories you piled on during that romantic dinner.
4. Sex is one of the safest sports you can take up. It
stretches and tones up just about every muscle in the body. It's
more enjoyable than swimming 20 laps, and you don't need special
sneakers!
5. Sex is an instant cure for mild depression. It releases endorphins into the bloodstream, producing a sense of euphoria
and leaving you with a feeling of well-being.
6. The more sex you have, the more you will be offered. The sexually active body gives off greater quantities of chemicals called pheromones. These subtle sex perfumes drive the opposite sex crazy!
7. Sex is the safest tranquilizer in the world. IT
IS 10 TIMES MORE EFFECTIVE THAN VALIUM.
8. Kissing each day will keep the dentist away.
Kissing encourages saliva to wash food from the teeth and lowers the
level of the acid that causes decay, preventing plaque build-up.
9. Sex actually relieves headaches. A lovemaking session can release the tension that restricts blood vessels in the
brain.
10. A lot of lovemaking can unblock a stuffy nose.
Sex is a natural antihistamine. It can help combat asthma and hay fever.
This message has been sent to you for good luck in
sex.
The original is in a room in the basement of the Dwight House Pub. It has been sent around the world nine times. Now sex has been sent to you.
The "Hot Sex Fairy" will visit you within four days of receiving this message, provided you, in turn, send it on.
If you don't, then you will never receive good sex again for the rest of your life. You will eventually become celibate, and
your genitals will rot and fall off. This is no joke! Send copies to people you think need sex (who doesn't?). Don't send money, as the fate of your
genitals has no price.
Well..hmmmmmm..what to say??
Perhaps we could start a Bolg site for those interested in signing up for this research project, solely for the interest of medical science!! That would sure help seperate the men from the boys (as it were!!)
I do beleive this Blog thang has created a nightmare: namely moi!
Hopefully no one is offended, just meant to lighten things up a notch...plus by the sounds of it we all could use a little "good luck in sex" and a visit from the "Hot Sex Fairy"......also I am sure at this stage in life we do not need one more thing to "rot and fall off".......EH???
ROCK ON!!!!!!
La Belle xox!
Richard,
Great newsletter - thank you for the information. I'll be stepping up my exercise regime. I'm in pretty good shape, but want to be in "Race Around the World" shape. (Oh hot fudge sundies I will miss thee)
What if there was a specific website for "cruisers". We could all contact all of the nice bachelor fellas we know who might be interested so they could hop on board!
You are good at promoting - and have some great contacts who would no doubt help help promote this great venture. FUN!
Michelle
Although I often am a wretched, miserable abstracted avatar of absent-mindedness, I think Splashing Waters did mention doing an attached blogsite for 'senior men'.

Aloha Richard! :)
I have just forwarded the Newsletter to two of my Bachelor Friends, one in Laguna Beach California who has written(not THE) but a book on Soulmate Relationships and another who lives up North just outside Toronto. A wonderful idea of yours Richard to get us to sign up a Bachelor friend or two for the cruise/s :)

Richard, with all due respect, it sounds like you plan on "racing" around and so are "in training" for this trip. No matter how fit a woman is, the man is usually stronger and if you keep up a pace that's comfortable for "you," you'll probably end up having to carry the lady to the airport to send her home.
I hope there will be time to stop and smell the roses, simply admire the view, and get to know the ladies.I never take a video camera with me because I prefer to feel the moment rather than look at it through a piece of glass. Sitting at an outdoor cafe, sipping a lovely cold drink, and watching the people go by can be just as interesting and fulfilling as trying to cram everything you can into a few weeks.
Regardless, I'm certainly willing to "try" to keep up with you. And as Dustin Hoffman said in "Midnight Cowboy" - 'Don't get a hernia' as you work out to be in top shape for the adventure. Remember, you're already probably way more fit than any of us.
smiles & hugs,
Leslie in VanCan
Leslie-- pardon me, I wish to refute... RR many not be way more fit than any of us.
AND to CB -- sex while doing laps and wearing sneakers is also not out of the question.

Okay, am going to take a chance on being sent to the naughty mat. Here goes:
A chicken and a freshly laid egg awaited the farmer's morning visit. Content, the chicken smoked a cigarette. The disgruntled egg, however, lay still a long time before cracking, "Well, you've certainly answered *that* question!"
Gettin' a little frisky in here. Better that than the whine!
HOT SENIOR FIREMEN
One dark night outside a small town in Wisconsin, a fire started inside the local chemical plant and in a blink of an eye it exploded into massive flames.
The alarm went out to all the fire departments for miles around. When the volunteer fire fighters appeared on the scene, the chemical company president rushed to the fire chief and said, "All our secret formulas are in the vault in the center of the plant. They must be saved. I will give $50,000 to the fire department that brings them out intact."
But the roaring flames held the firefighters off.
Soon more fire departments had to be called in as the situation became desperate. As the firemen arrived, the president shouted out that the offer was now $100,000 to the fire department who could bring out the company's secret files.
From the distance, a lone siren was heard as another fire truck came into sight. It was the nearby Norwegian rural township volunteer fire company composed mainly of Norwegians over the age of 65.
To everyone's amazement, that little run-down fire engine roared right past all the newer sleek engines that were parked outside the plant. Without even slowing down it drove straight into the middle of the inferno.
Outside, the other firemen watched as the Norwegian old timers jumped off right in the middle of the fire fought it back on all sides. It was a performance and effort never seen before.
Within a short time, the Norske old timers had extinguished the fire and had saved the secret formulas. The grateful chemical company president announced that for such a superhuman feat he was upping the reward to $200,000, and walked over to personally thank each of the brave fire fighters.
The local TV news reporter rushed in to capture the event on film, asking their chief, "What are you going to do with all that money?"
"Vell," said Ole Larsen, the 70-year-old fire chief, "Da first thing ve gonna do is fix da brakes on dat *%#*!@* truck!"
Hey Leslie,
Ok Ok Ok....seriously I am not trying to be a dufus........but I REALLY don't get it!! I feel a titch better as my 24 yr old daughter was here at the time and she did not get it either..maybe it is a Quebec thang!! Anyone else not in the loop??
Perhaps if you could be so kind...you could explain when we get together in Sept..deal?? I'll even buy you a glass or two or three of wine...maybe then i will "get it"!!!!!!!
Ciao Bella!!

Canadian Bloggette In regards to your FairySexMother...I fear that where there was once vital openings of youthful wonder, now only cobwebs abound and I do not think forwarding the FairySexMother poem would be of any help to me. LOL
Leslie I don't get the chicken and the egg joke....the chicken comes before the egg?...LOL
Didn't want to say anything, but since Canadian Bloggette jumped right in there, I quess it's ok for me to admit ignorance.
I agree with Neva Watts...The men I know also watch early morning and late TV only. I haven't met many men that TIVO Oprah....Now meeting woman, that's where you want to visit Oprah (right Richard?)
I would love to get my brother on this cruise....I know he doesn't watch Oprah. Actually he works so much, he doesn't watch too much TV and doesn't have time to meet quality women. He needs to find a nice woman who will "persuade" him to enjoy life a little more!
I like Richard's idea..."Senior Woodstock" Taking it a little further. Fun and Frolic on the 7 Seas. Ten fun filled days and nights....Find your soul connection
while being wined, dined, and pampered on the Senior Love Boat connection. On a larger cruise ship, there is lots of room and the more the merrier, and greater odds of meeting a possible partner. A survey could be taken ahead of time to find out major areas of common interest and then on board there could be group parties centered around the most popular topics.(Dancing, Travel, Investment/Tax Seminar, Real Estate, Photography, or whatever) There are probably people in the group who could give a presentation or set something up.
Maybe EHarmony could help with the survey to match people up on the cruise,or get similar people together in the same room, at least.
Fun party mixer with a raffel of a great trip or something. (There's got to be a sponsor for that..look
at the great market that is being tapped....us! The possiblities are endless.
I think it's going to be so much fun....Hey, I'm gonna go pack my bags now!!
A Nonny Mouse who loves to travel
MaryR Lady you crack me up with your pantyhose thing.
We've just moved into a new home (a rental) while our next new home is being built. We haven'e had hot water for 8 days now. I guess it's not too bad when it's 110 outside anyway. Take a cold shower and run outside to get dry and warmed up.
My son-in-law is so funny sometimes he just makes me roll on the floor. Last evening he saw a black widow spider on the front porch and my daughter runs to get some bug spray and brings him a can of "Spring Garden" Raid. I'm cracking up while my son-in-law sprays this huge spider as he says "Die you big ole good smelling spider you!" LOL Kids they are the joy of my life even if they are in their 30's.
OH DEAR DESERT FLOWER........SUCH TRAGIC NEWS!!!I think the "Sex Fairy" IS exactly what you need....such a wonderful holistic approach to sooooo many ailments...even cobwebs!!! Oh...and one more great side effect...if we were blessed by the "Sex Fairy" maybe...just maybe we would get Leslie's joke!! I am guessing that Leslie HAS been blessed!! Yah!!
Just For Your INFO I have invited 7 men to this site and to RR's news letter and told them to go and sign up for the cruise. All of these men are non-drinkers, non-smokers, and do not or have never used drugs. None have any infractions with the law and all are very, very nice men, looking for a lady. They are men that I have met on a dating service that I do not have any chemistry with, but are still clean cut men. There are two that I shall hold back for myself. LOL HEE HEE HEE.
I have invited them to this site to talk with you women and get to know you. Now if the rest of these ladies would do the same we'd be cooking. CathinCarolina has 3 male friends she could invite. Where is she anyway?
For Anyone Emailing Me My email system is down and I will have a new email address shortly. No phone lines yet. And BOO HOO I haven't been able to get RR's newest newsletter.
Leslie If you returned an email regarding Sept visit I haven't gotten it yet cus of the aforementioned stuff. LOL
BDNC You get your hair back to normal yet?
CanadianBloggetteNo What I really need is some little hot young stud muffin. LOL AW OH! off to the naughty mat I go.
Hey desertflower,
Leslie mentioned that perhaps you may make it to Vancouver in Sept, that would be awesome as I will also be there from the 10th - 18th
So try real hard...we could all get in serious trouble together....ok??
ps. About the young stud muffin...maybe you could find 7 of those as well...yah!
La Belle xox
CB I'm going to try! Gotta find out where the nearest airport is to fly in though.
We could have a blast - probably lose about 25lbs just laughing. Course you shouldn't lose anymore, you're just a speck as it is.
LOL
Where is the closest airport there anyway?
Hey desertflower,
The closest airport to Vancouver would be the Vancouver Airport!
Not too hard to find so you should be ok!
This is fabulous news, way cool!! I am staying with my daughter but would have lots of time to puddle around and have fun!
Of course any other bloggettes are welcome to join us!!! Let us know!!
La Belle xox
BDNC: Perhaps you should dye your hair neopolitan, then Richard could have his share of blonde, brunette and red head....lol
Leslie: I'm kind of a dork when it comes to jokes and I don't get the chicken and egg joke either. My guess though is that the farmer brought a rooster over and the chicken was "very satisfied", thus the cigarette( some people's favorite sexual afterglow...yuk). Am I close???? Do I win the "cigar"????
Ladies do go out and get the this months issue of Vogue with Madonna on the cover. Some very inspiring stories of women from their 20s into their 80s. I read the story about the 81 year old, heck she might put Richard to shame with all the traveling she does! I'm sending Richard a quote from that particular article that I hope he will use in the Newsletter.....
All the best,

chicken/egg: "Do you smoke after sex?"??
"naughty map"
Well, I'm certainly glad someone has stepped up and admitted they didn't get that chicken joke! I've heard it before and didn't get it the first time around either. I thought it was just me! Have forwarded it to a friend so when he explains it to me, will let you all know (assuming no one else has explained it by then).
Bonjourno!
Ok Leslie girl.........so glad I am not the only dufus in Blogville...I think perhap we need a brief explantion.Ive even tried the post smoking thing and .....I STILL DON'T GET IT..........HELP!!
ciao
La Belle xox
ZOE! It's exactly what you think, if you let your mind "get" the sex part of the joke: What (who) "CAME" first? The chicken, obviously! (the cigarette being the symbol for the satisfaction afterwards!) Now, come on!!
To Annony mouse: Scroll back a bit and you'll see that I, and lots of others, have proposed the same thing. But now, especially, the cruise blog would be appropriate, and would free up this Blog talking/writing about it.
Ladies, yes, if you already knew decent guys ... you wouldn't need to go on the cruise. But if fellow blogettes, Oprah viewers, friends contribute who THEY think are decent guys, hopefully that would vet out the so-called "creeps" some are concerned about. Then again, one person's nice brother might be a "creep" to someone else. But the male contingency would tend to grow exponentially once it got around. And from there you just might meet one or two pleasant enough gentlemen to keep company with. Or,I guess it's good a lot of you are keen on just meeting each other on the cruise.
Have a great day!
Suzan
Suzan - ok, ok, I 'get' it! (I wasn't the only one ya know!) Hmmm, somehow I just figured you might be the one to explain... Oh well, thoes who did 'get' it are no doubt chuckling (that word looks so odd spelled out right now) to themselves about those of us not in the know!
GOOD MORNING! :-)
MaryR
I've been noticing your fancy smancy posting. ;-)You've been busy with your techie stuff. good on you ! And remember about the hair removal thingy? didn't get any response, but tsokay:-(

OK.......OK........OK!!!!!!YEAH.......I FINALLY GOT IT!!!!!
I was about to make another pun ABOUT "GETTING IT"......but I refrained.
Hey BDNC.....sent you an email..I will try calling demain in the day....I think that works..let me know!I must admit a little pooped today...was up till the weehours on the phone with some wild and crazy Vancouverite!
Cheers
La Belle xox
Hi Zoe!
Got your photo and email! Will comment in private. BUT, I just HAD to get your attention and 'chuckle' along with everyone who got it, and those who didn't right off the bat. That ole "chicken and egg" joke, sexy variation!
bdnc: You are the best with the "techie" stuff. I've seen the hair/clothes/background changes done. Adobe has good software for it. I haven't bought the manual yet, so I try/fly by the seat of my panties.
Last night I deleted my underwater photo blog in order to rescan the pictures, and repost to the correct size. Then the blog went off the air for an hour. I fell asleep, woke up at 4:30 this am to finish, finish I did, and just as I was about to hit the Post Blog button, Microsoft internet "encountered" some error and I lost everything I did last night and this morning. Grrrrrrr.
Well, it'll be a lot easier and quicker tonight. I want to post new photos: SHARKS of Fiji!! Among other beautiful sights!
Bom dia para todas! (Portuguese!)

Here is the answer to the JOKES
The chicken came first! (answer to the age old questions of which came first, the chicken or the egg)
The firemen ended up in the center of the fire because their brakes were bad, not because they were so brave.
I have spent a lifetime explaining jokes to my blond family members and friends.
Michelle
Dear Richard and Friends,
Why don't we seem to have many new bloggers on this site?
Mary R
Forest Hills: you get the prize! and CB - I'm only "blessed" vicariously through the jokes. Hope now you all "get" it, you had a good laugh.
To MaryR:
Hi to you ... Good question. I don't know why there are no new bloggers. Maybe they pop in and see comments about people having being deleted for different views so, therefore, can't be bothered, or maybe it's because they see other people signing in as 'Anonymous' and being nasty to regular bloggers ... hard to say isn't it?
Also, maybe people are just not interested!
Have a lovely day
Phyl
Phyl I didn't realize you live in Ireland. It's rather interesting to find that women are following this adventure of RR's from all over the world. What part of Ireland ya from. My mother's ancestry is Irish. Her mother's maiden name being "Derphy". She had the bright auburn hair that goes with the name as well. My dad's heritage is Italian/Indian. So I got the dark hair and olive skin from him. Although I now color that dark stuff which is more white than it is dark. LOL
Just wondering if we have any other ladies talking here from out of the United States. I know we've got three or four from Canada and Veva is from Hawaii. Any others? Haven't heard fro the Bristish Blog Police for a while.
Phyl You're a trip. I had a fellow blogger the other day tell me I was irreverent the other day and I laughed it off, by saying "Hey I thought I was being pretty darn sly."
Now you as well as RR knows that we can't please everyone with our diverse personalities so get your panties out of the twist. Hey maybe one of those jr. size thong thangies from RR's shop will help.
LOL
Just pulling your leg there.
HAS ANYONE HEARD FROM STARLITEINMYEYES AKA WANDA? I've emailed her several times and no answer. The last I heard is CathyinCarolina was sending a friend over to meet up with her.
