Dear Ladies and Gentlemen,
My sincere best wishes to each and every one of you
for a Happy and Healthy Holiday Season. And my
thanks for your continuing support of this Journey we
have been on for almost one and one-half years.
There has certainly been a lot of fun along the way,
and also some challenges. But that's life, isn't it?
As of March 1, I will be moving to Italy for the
foreseeable future. There are a variety of reasons for
this move, and I will spare you the details. Foremost,
is my love for everything about this country, and in
particular, one specific area. And that would be
Lerici, a Roman fishing village located right below the
Cinque Terre, in the Northwest corner of Italy, right
on the Mediterranean Sea.
I first visited Lerici in 1996 when Chris and I were
filming Pop&Me, and I vowed to return. I lived there
all of 2001, on a Contessa's estate. The Contessa
remains a good friend, and is one of the reasons I am
moving back. She is one of the most interesting
people I have ever had the good fortune to meet.
The Contessa has introduced me to many of her
friends, and I very much enjoy being in their
company.
In fact, I will be living in a 4 level residence right
above Lerici, in a Roman hilltop village called
Trebiano. Through the Contessa, I met a lovely
English lady who is an artist and interior designer,
and she was kind enough to allow me to rent her
residence on a year round basis. The property is on 4
levels, with a sweeping view of the famous Cararra
mountains, the Magra River, and the Mediterranean
Sea. I have also rented another wonderful property
in Lerici, directly on the sea. I will make this house
available for friends and family, and will also use for
people who come to Lerici for the many amazing
tours based from this location that I plan to offer.
Details are below.
As readers of the Newsletters know, I recently
returned from a seven week trip to Italy. Four of
those weeks I, and Umberto, led a total of thirteen
group members on a trip which included Rome,
Florence, Siena, Lerici, Portofino, Lucca, Orvieto,
Chianti country in the heart of Tuscany, Portifino,
Positano, the Isle of Capri, and numerous wonderful
places and sights in Sicily.
I have decided to resume these Tours in 2007. Also,
from mid-April to mid-September, I will conduct tours
based out of Lerici. If you would like information
about these Tours, please click
here.

possibly being on one of the tours or visits to Lerici,
please e-mail me at richard@seniorbachelor.com. Ciao for now, Richard Roe Senior Bachelor (To forward this email to a friend, click here.)
